I've been wondering about this for a while. I was wondering for instance if I ever wanted to make a GIF avater, how can I make one?

There's probably a lot of free GIF creation software lying around the internet, although I'm not familliar with how to use any or what their names are. I'd start at download.com and search there.
I used ImageReady, a small web-version of Photoshop that comes packaged with most versions of Photoshop. Its got many web features, one of them being GIF creation.

Awesome! Thanks, I appreciate it. I'll start at download.com then. :)

If it's still around, Irfanview is a great freeware/shareware.

Even though it's years old now, I have always made my animated GIFs with a 32-bit version of the GIF CONSTRUCTION SET...worked good for me. :)

That's the first time I made one and it didn't turn out very good. :( The colors all weird. I don't think anyone knows what happening?

Gifs have a limited pallette of 256 colors as opposed to jpegs or png which can have more than 16 million colors. I'm not sure how Ifranview works, but most programs have settings on how to manipulate pallette changes. How did you make this gif? Did you use stills from the show or did you convert a video file?

Which program did you use to create that animated GIF? I tried Infanview, it can open and extract frames from an Animated GIF. Although, I can't seem to create or save it as an animated GIF.
Anyway, just like what Fatneck said. There should be an option somewhere (a slider or a button) that says that has a range from 2(or something) - 256 colors. The lower the number of colors, the smaller the file is. On the other hand, the lower the number of colors, the image quality suffers.
Later.

Yup. I think that's the highest pallette color for a GIF is 256. More colors = Betta picture :)
BTW, odd I don't see any pictures?

You should be able to create a GIF like this:
http://home.hawaii.rr.com/wizardgrey/images/Temp/Animation2.gif
The above is too large to be TZ avatar friendly (must be 10.0kb or smaller).
So...
http://home.hawaii.rr.com/wizardgrey/images/Temp/Animation2b.gif
This would work. Although I had to reduce the size and colors.
Um, which program are you using anyway?
[edit] Oops, NM. I just found out. Hehe sorry Noir.
Just started downloading GIF consrtuction set, lets pray that I can figure it out.

EDIT:How do I make it loop? That's odd. Under the "animation wizard" window is the "loop" box checked? Its located right next to the "Delay" and "palette" boxes which are found in the animation wizard window.
