This is a good way to get opinions...and after the barrage of cuts that have taken place over the last few years, I'd like to know what you believe is the worst edit of a cartoon--whether MGM, WB, or any other company...that makes absolutely no sense!

Plenty of nominees go to Drip-Along Daffy, The Hasty Hare, and Roman-Legion Hare for those edits mentioned on other message boards.

Mine, personally, is the recent cut in Yankee Doodle Bugs, where Manhattan Island is bought for a song. No sense at all! I believe it's a disgrace to American History that the past is edited because it's not PC. It's part of American History--or close to it!!! I don't know if it really was bought for a song, anyway. By the way, that parallels the edit in Rebel Rabbit where Bugs gives Manhattan Island back to the Indians (with a set of dishes).

And I STILL have not seen everything yet!!

The edit in Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24th and a Half Century. The edit makes no sense! Porky shoots a pistol which realeses a straitjacket on Marvin. Also Marvin telling the audience the rocket launcher being sent to earth will hit in three days, an that should give us enough time to get our affairs in order. Why are these scenes edited? They make no sense!

I suspect the edits on this cartoon are primarily for time considerations more than anything else, as it's longer than the seven-eight minute norm
