I don't know much about art history, but I came across his works and some biographical information about him, and was really impressed. For a while now I have had nothing but Megatron avatars. Megatron is from Transformers a yummy robot series from the 80's that's survived the test of time.

My current avatar is of Megatron from the current Transformers: Energon series. The cropped avatar is from an episode that hasn't aired yet in America [the one episode I spoiled myself to] and I just had to make it mine. Just in case you can't tell: He's created an "energy orb" in his hand. I won't say what he made it for. ;)

My original avatar from sept 2002 was a close up of a beautifully customized gene doll. Early this year, I was told the girl from the new/remade Pokemon games was a better representation of me. So, I switched.

It was going to be a temporary change, but when I heard comments that this was better, and that my earlier avatar looked too snooty, I decided to keep pokégwen. Even though I'd like to think my dolly looked aristrocratic and cultured; not snooty. :sweat:

I can't read any of it, but the art is really cool, and it's printed with pink and black ink on white paper, which really sets it apart visually from other doujinshi. I like picking one avatar and sticking with it for long periods of time. It was a poster by the name of Andrew who I first saw do this and I had a level of comfort in seeing a face that matched the poster's words.

Previously I used a guy in a hat as I was once a habitual hat wearer, then I saw this guy. It's rare and never that you get to see a cool looking anime character of color.

My unchanging avatar is the Psyco-Salamander, which is the final boss (if you don't count General-Gundam) from the mediocre 1991 Banprestro side-scrolling arcade game "SD Gundam Psycho Salamander no Kyoui" which I believe was only released in Japan.

The game might not have that good, but I really like the thing's design.
