I have digital cable. I think digital cable has the anime network. What time does it come on in the pacific coast if so? Also,do they show it in english? You would have to have it via VOD (Video on Demand) then. As for when, there is really no set schedule for VOD. You can find out what episodes are airing you can use this (http://www.theanimenetwork.com/vodschedule.asp), it depends on your cable company's VOD schedule. Just search under your cable provider. Oh, and the episodes are in english.

How the hell do you like Saiyuki but hate almost all Shounens....Due to the fact that most shonen anime are boring action fests with uninteresting, flat characters that pander to the lowest common denominator (usually for comedic effect), and tend to have little or NO character development whatsoever. My opinion, though, so don't get all pissy.

I likes me some bishonens though. And I know most of the people here hate Saiyuki and other bishonen anime (for reasons unknown, other than possibly hating anime that doesn't contain constant fanservice or what-have-you), but I could care less. I think Saiyuki is a quality show, with entertaining writing, and well-done character development. (It just occured to me, I don't know why the crap Im explaining my self to you peeps.) Anyhow...

Being critical and cynical does don't always go hand in hand with being sad or angry. Heck, I'm a relatively upbeat and happy person most of the time. There is no malice or hostility in my posts. I be smiling all the time, yo. ^___^

If we're JUST talking about TV shows here...

Like: -Excel Saga: Probably my favorite comedy anime of all time!
-FLCL: So.... "alien"? So weird it's good. Great animation. And rockin' tunes.
-Azumanga Daioh: Perhaps the best comic-to-TV adaption next to Garfield or Dilbert.
-Galaxy Angel: A memorable cast of characters, creative situations/plots and varied planets.
-Neon Genesis Evangelion: So far, anyway. I heard it gets better in Volume 2.
-Duel Masters: Americanized parody! Gotta love it!
-Rave Master: OK, not the smartest show in the world but I like it.

Middle of the road: -Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi: Volumes 1 and 3 fell flat, but 2 and 4 were good. Best episodes: #5 (dino), #6 (film noir), #11 (war), #12 (Hollywood). Worst episodes: #1 (exposition), #3 (space), #9 (exposition 2), #10 (theme park/magical girl).
-Wedding Peach: Don't like the repetitiveness of the show, but it's charming in its own way and it has some catchy music and a few good jokes.
-Inu-Yasha: Slow paced in parts but has an intriguing cast of characters and some good action scenes.
-Rurouni Kenshin: I would put this in the "like" list but I haven't seen enough episodes. I want to see more, as I enjoyed the few I saw.
-Pokemon: Not as bad as anime haters would suggest, but not a show I make an appointment to watch. Can be very repetitive with the two villains.
-Digimon: Liked Season 1 but not the rest.
-Sonic X: Better than Sonic Underground but it never really pulled me in. Doesn't really need the sidekick kids.

Dislike: -Puni Puni Poemy: Tries to duplicate Excel Saga's crazier moments but fails. For reasons see my thread.
-Cutey Honey 1994: Not a fan of the old school anime designs, the dark locations, or the rather excessive use of nudity. Once in a while is fine but it was taken too far here. I felt like I was watching soft core porn. I DO want to see Re:Cutey Honey, though.
-Crest of the Stars: Too slow-paced for my liking. I could tune into multiple episodes and basically the same thing would be happening- two crew members talking while staring at the space map. Too dark and stark of settings for my tastes, too. I DID like the character designs, though.
-Dragon Ball & Z: Never liked these shows. Dislike the ugly character designs and the fighting-style plots don't appeal to me.
-Yu-Gi-Oh!: Uber simplistic animation makes this one boring to watch- add to that a generic card battling plot and a bad dub.
-Ultimate Muscle: Bad puns galore and dumb toilet humor. If anime wants to take a step forward, this is NOT the series to use for proof.

Likes, well to be honest, most of the animes I particularly enjoy, don't fit a set of paradigm, one day I will like an action show, the next a plot full series. So I never stay on one type of genre of anime.

Recent one I got into by Gonzo entertainment. Decent animation, great story, great music, excellent character development. Men v Women in an ultimate clash of sorts, and men discovering that women aren't all that bad (this is a huge sign to male chauvenists out there). Some fan service, but it was done alright I think

OMG! Drop dead gold. Six eps full of intrigue and mystery and equally good animation, character development, plot, and funny moments. This is an anime for all audiences!
Big O
I fell in love with this series back in 01, it prompted me to buy the dvds, loved season 2 (all of it on tape) and I will watch this series from time to time (actually quite often). Animation from both seasons was good, but the music and the plot of the series drew me into it. In a sense, it is a philosophical gem that has so many views of interpretation, and it is because of that reason alone that big o has a great appeal. But it loses viewers because of the slow action moments, if one is accustomed to watching series full of action with big giant robots. I was a fan of NGE, but this one peaked my interest so much more. I have never got the feeling of when one watches an anime, you see another clue or subtle hint that you missed before. In that regard, it is like reading the tao, confucius works, etc. Good show here if you love mystery and intrigue
Cowboy Bebop
fast guns, violence, and a story...another sunrise classic with gorgeous animation for its time, albeit revolutionary, and a plot and characters to match. Each character blended together so well, it made it a lovable anime amongst many.
Lupin III
Old school classic from the 1970s, I guess one can consider Lupin III to be the father of many anime character roles. I know that many of the elements viewed in CB are also noted in Lupin III at various points of the series. No plot per se, but so much character interaction and development, and it was referred to in so many animes. A reference to lupin in the Detective Conan manga, FLCL series, makes this one an instant hit. IT is a cult hit
Last Exile
Wow...can I just say...wow. In all of my years, up to now, this is the best animated series I have ever seen! Blended marvelously is the 2-d 3-d shift, one doesn't know where 2d ends and 3d begins. The music is excellent, one of the best musical scores I have ever heard, plot is great, characters are memorable. Gonzo strikes again with this anime, and a lot of work was put in this one. This is my best anime for the moment right now.
Detective Conan
teenage super ace detective turned into a child!? and what's worse, still has the mental capacities of an adult detective! With the detective boys hanging around, and shinichi holding his adult urges in tact so he can still stay in this disguise, he gets into some wily antics while living with his girlfriend (and her father, another detective kogouro morri) this is a classic, 300 plus episodes and very strong, this is an instant sleeper hit, much like lupin the third. Many will refer to this as the anti lupin III. Bliss

But I really liked Outlaw Star, I think it's a highly unrated anime.
