I just want to thank everyone on this forum for your questions that I was able to ask Mark Norman, the senior VP of Boomerang. For many of the questions, I left them alone and just asked. The piece turned out great and answers some of our pressing concerns. :)

Interesting interview. He made it clear that Boomerang's target demographic is young children and their parents and that it is not making enough money to expand the network at the moment. Hopefully, if they expand t 24 hour programming they could figure out how to target each day block. A combination of preschool/nostalgia, pop culture network is ideal but I'm not a television executive so I'm unsure if that's feasible.
I wish Boomerang the best of luck. I hope I do get to see it someday.

Yeah. I know some people are upset that the classics don't get DVD Bonus-ish type packaging, such as in "ToonHeads," but overall, I think the network is trying hard to maintain something for the masses. They stress the idea of family, and that's a big factor in a lot of their programming decisions.

Great interview Jon. I was especially interested in how they view their demograpics. Good to hear that while they are exploring the preschool channel idea that it is not something set in stone.
Good job. :)

I agree fully. I'd hate to think that COX Digital Cable picked up Boomerang all for nothing. :D
