Time for a Miguzi Thread! Part II: Measures for Change

Face it, Miguzi ain't changing unless the ratings sink. Well how can we do that? Any ideas? All of mine involves everyone on Toon Zone.

Idea 1: Boycott Miguzi! Don't watch it! See Code: LYOKO on Friday afternoons and Sunday mornings, Turtles on the Fox Box, and TT and TS everywhere else on CN.

Idea 2: Flood Turner's website with angry e-mails!

Idea 3: An ilegal takeover with an army of Clydes and forumers! (wait that was my idea for ASA Saturdays takeover!)

So those won't prove very effective, but any ideas?

You got me painted in a corner there, because that's what I usually say! I even get a little poetic about it. And yes Toonami went through that too. So I guess my impatience got into me.

for one thing, I think the topic itself is quite counterproductive and ineffective. First of all, we (the viewers) don't have no single clue about the future of miguzi so it cannot be said that miguzi itself can or cannot change. Secondly, any avid viewer of CN can conclude the schedule changes of miguzi can take place later on in the fall or early winter. Again however it depends mostly (and primarily) on demographic, and the type of programming miguzi is going to have. The only thing (that I infer) that is set in stone is simple. Totally Spies season 3, so no way that is taken off. Period. Everything else, a new season of CL (to US probably spring 06), TMNT (rerun ville) and TT can all go. I agree with that. But this thread, I think, is eluding to the infamous fantasy miguzi schedule thread(the thousands of them)
However rabi, toonami's birth, in the beginning the shows weren't all that lack luster, but winter and spring 2000 changed toonami tremendously with the addition of gundam w, sailor moon, tenchi, and the plethora of other shows. There is a reason why toonami was no. 1 (and let's not forget, first time in american mainstream to air the conclusion of the furiza saga, which was at the time only viewed in spanish on telemundo...)
But I think the point is abundantly clear. Give miguzi a chance before we toss our nippers in a basket. Period

If you want new stuff on Miguzi, just take a break for a while. Switch channels. Stop watching. No need to get angry over this. Cartoon Network will be changing things around soon enough, so hold tight. In the meantime, don't keep watching the reruns. Complaining will not make the changes occur faster, trust me.

The network is trying to use this franchise to bring about some great shows that are friendly for both genders. In doing so, they have to be more specific about what they acquire. I'm sure new Teen Titans are coming, as well as Code Lyoko's second season. Also, isn't a new season of Totally Spies coming too? See, its all going to happen, but in due time. I swear, something will happen by March or April.

They'll have to if they want to keep TMNT on Miguzi as well. And I'm not just talking about Shredder (who obviously isn't dead yet).

If they hope to keep Miguzi kid friendly then they'll have to drop TMNT, Teen Titans, and given it's slightly risky sequences maybe even Code Lyoko.

I think the point of Miguzi is to showcase action animation that isn't Japanese.

That being said... they REALLY need to do something with the line-up. Toonami has had long spurs when nothing has changed but I don't believe they have been quite this long. But I'd chock that up to WS experimenting here and there and finding success and flops and schuffeling the schedule.

They'll probably air the rest of Teen Titans and TMNT eventually.

that would be an incredible idea to bring static shock to CN, rather miguzi. But a better strategy would also to add xoalin showdown

Static Shock seems fine for Miguzi. Xiaolin Showdown is a no brainer but they'd have to wait until they have at least a month's worth of episodes before adding it to weekdays on CN.

It will be a whil;e before they get the episodes, unless they use the Sunday Miguzi, and maybe when they access to alot of episodes, air it on weekdays. Right now, 26 episodes, 5 weeks and 1 day. That would be alot of reruns.:anime:

Well it does get ratings, so CN would do it (look at LYOKO, 20 episodes and is on 6 days a week, Sundays, and Camp Cartoon I think). Again sorry if I seemed angry, I just wasn't thinking when I posted this thread. But it has led to some good disscussion. So would Kids' WB be good for Miguzi? Xiolin seems to fit the best, but not enough episodes and Monks would never use mysticism. XME is the wrong demographic. Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon just don't work. Static Shock may be the best bet. So predictions:

September:
4:00 Season Three
4:30 Season Two
5:00 The Rest of Season Two
5:30 Some of Season Three

Decebember:
4:00 Finishing Up Season Three

Lyoko has 26 episodes not 20 which is more then TT yet Lyoko is always the one bashed for reruns :confused: Static has 52 so I still say that would work out great

Season 3 of Totally Spies is coming to Sundays on Cartoon Network... @ 8:00pm e/p.. and since they air the eps in production order I doubt they'll air the season 3 eps on Miguzi until all have aired.. and that will be by march if I'm correct, unless Cartoon Network decides to just air the new eps they're own way. However, there 23 eps in season 3 and 3 eps that make one big 3-parter episode.. so I bet they'll air those 3 as a movie.

5-11PM hasn't changed since Jackie Chan replaced DBGT on weekdays in Spring. Seriously... SOMETHING needs to change.

Toonami is airing repeat of GT and Duel Masters once a week... Now I can understand Duel Masters since it's shorter or starting GT from point Saturday Toonami started but they are starting from the first US episode. That is just cruel and unusual punishment slapped between great premieres of YYH and Gundam SEED. Why the heck did they do that?!?!?!?

I'll say it again. More classics and more anime. CN's "new and shiney" American and European cartoons can bite my shiney metal axe.

Okay! We're done talking about that! I realize that it will change someday! I thought in the September schedule it would change and it didn't. So I know how many people hated that so I posted this seeing if we could do something. You'd be mad at us for just complaining and not doing this. I get the point that's being made, but if any one else want's to pound it into me I can't stop you! I'm not wired into it, we are on a toon forum!

You are a Miguzi fan. I hold nothing against that. I realize your position. I apologize if this comes out sexist, but you feel it is a block where female action overpowers male action. I mean TS is girl-targeted, CL attracts more females, TMNT has a wide-fanbase, and TT is one of the best superhero gender compromises. So when you look at Toonami, Jetix, Fox Box, and Kids' WB it isn't like that. If I were in your shoes I'd feel the same too. I mean it's like girls aren't allowed to have superpowers and are drawn inapropreatly. I will do my best to understand you if you do your best to understand the disgruntled

I'm not mad, infact couldn't I agree with you more on the fact of how lame Miguzi can be at times. ;) It's just a little reckless to see alot of complaining from others all the time --more Toonami fans @ Toonzone rather than Miguzi huh. :p And I guess its nice to talk about that. :) Your mistaken if you think I'm against you. :D

No, well, at least not for a LONG time. Fridays shows the reapeat of the last Sunday. If Miguzi did that the only way would be on Sunday, and they won't do that. It will be a long tmime, proboly when it's finished, which wilkl take a long time seeing it's 52 episodes so far. But this is all if CN even wants it on Miguzi.:anime:

Hopefully, Betty doesn't join Miguzi, but all blocks need exclusive CN originals, and I guess Miguzi is a CN block.

look woman...WE DON'T FREAKIGN HATE MIGUZI!!! I'm a fan of Miguzi, just not the girl shows...Another thing...MIGUZI IS NOT A GIRLS-ONLY BLOCK. Understand that Miguzi is just as much a guy block as it is a girl block. What do you think we want to do? Overrun Miguzi with Toonami shows? No. NO. NO. All we ask is that CN start showing something besides TMNT(since TT is on Toonami and has 2 daily showings) that we, the guys, can watch. I'm an angry Toonami Fanboy but know that I respect the fact that girls want something to watch, too.

It must be stated that Miguzi isn't just a girls block. Its a block that is meant to appeal to both genders. If it was suppose to be an all girls block then it would have nothing but girls shows, but its not. It's got boys shows and girls shows and some which have a broad appeal overall.
