View Full Version : ReBoot 4.0 Reactions
What did you guys think about ReBoot 4.0 today? Personally, I was thrilled! I've been waiting to see this for a year and a half. I can't wait for next week's episode! :)
There is no future, there is no past - there is only the word. And that word - is DAEMON....
OH MY GAWD that kicked ***** on so many levels! :D
Reboot 4.0, IMHO, was in a word awesome, and still holds my regards as one of the best North American animated cartoons of this time (take THAT Japan :) )
Daemon was not what I expected. I'd have to say she's a bit creepy. The whole psuedo-religion thing was a nice touch.
But Hexadecimal.....she's crepier NOW than she was in Season 2 and 3 and thats a dang hard thing to do...
I cannot WAIT for next week :D
Only problem I had was that you were thrust right into it. I'd have liked a little more explanation time, but otherwise no problems at all. Characters look 10X better than they did with Season 3 sprite wise and the facial expressions are so much better. I was specifically impressed with the end of Episode 2 and Andraia's comment to Daemon (no spoilers for those who missed it).
Overall I give it an A Plus.

Daemon was very cool. She didn't seem really evil to me, though. She thinks she is doing the right thing, ala Magneto of X-Men.
Hex is creepier at the end. Very, very...weird.
I loved how we got glimpses into the past. VERY Cool!
Next Friday, I know where I'll be!

The way I see it - He HATES him. I think Little Enzo however adores him. LITTLE MATRIX! :D LOL!
Is Hexidecamal still a good guy?
Yes....I think. She transformed into a....docile nullzilla...and I think she mutated into a sprite. She's now golden and white, but she's VERY VERY VERY disurbing, and her mad-on for Bob is now tenfold.
Is mike the TV still the most annoying character?
Yes, and he's fallen victim to Daemon :( He was the first Mainframer to become infected at the end of the first episode :( But that song number with him in the second ep was INSANE! :D
What chanel? what time? what day? I must know! TELL MEEEEEEEE!!!!!

I was just wondering if there was a thread about "ReBoot 4.0". There was so much to enjoy:
- the action
- the new games
- Hex (who is now easier on the eyes than ever)
Vince, I kind of agree with you comparing Daemon to Magneto. I can't wait for more new eps.

Hex has changed...alot. For the better? Only time can tell.

Yeah. What surprised me was what they got away with. There are a couple mature stuff thrown in there that's defintely being implied.

It took me six months and a lot of bribery to see Season 3, and I never DID get to watch that last Matrix-vs-Megabyte-Hex-goes-sane-episode. . .

I thought I was getting sick of seeing Reboot, having seeing the same episodes a hundred some odd times, but the new episodes completely redeem the series!!! There's so much more action and comedy than before. Plus, I'm finding it hard to hate Daemon, I mean, she's such a different villian entirely!
Wow, this past Friday's episode rocked! So many things were revealed and so many things to come! I'm so physched for next Friday!

Hmmm. Well since I live in Canada I can't read any of your posts until I see it. Don't want to ruin it for myself . It airs here in two, two hour movies on YTV Nov 18 & Nov 25. Nice to see some Reboot fans. BCN YA!!!

Friday's episode completely ruled! Did Daemon kill that right hand man of hers(Don't remember his name), or what? That part kinda confused me, since I can't really imagine her being vindictive enough to kill him. His voice also sounds familiar, but I can't seem to place it.

She did in fact kill Deacon. He was voiced by Richard Newman, who was Rhinox on "Beast Wars" and later Tankor on "Beast Machines."

Thanks, now I know where I recognized his voice after visiting the internet movie database. He played Emperor Dornkirk on Escaflowne! I knew that guy sounded cool!
Wow! "Sacrifice" had to be the best episode of the new episodes thus far. Michael is back as the "old" Bob. Maybe Ian's GlitchBob isn't really even Bob. Maybe he's his brother or someone pretending to be Bob.

I'm thinking that what happened was "cookies".
Remember Bob was shot into the web through the net. When you log onto the web through your computer, your computer saves a copy of a webpage you visited onto your network through the cookie system. What if the bob that Ray emerged with is the real Bob and Glitch Bob is indeed a web version. Like...that Bob is the original one that was shot by Megabyte is a cookie copy and Glitch Bob is the real one

Wow, I just watched "My Two Bobs" today and I'm pretty excited. The show keeps getting better. I feel bad for GlitchB...er..Bob because Dot's not been paying attention to him. Poor guy. I hope he gets the girl in the end. Then again, I really like the other Bob.

They didn't explain how he suddenly appeared. The beginning opening with a parody of old sitcoms, which ended up being Dot's dream. It was pretty funny.

So...anyone catch the latest ep. of Reboot? My Two Bobs? Well...I just wish I had seen the last ep. before it!
O.k. So, Bob is back. He doesnt really have memories, but he's the same bob that the show started with(INCLUDING the original VA!). So...GlitchBob has himself convinced that he is a Copy.
Who here actually thinks he's a copy? I dunno. I have a funny feeling the "classic Bob" is the copy...perhaps even a zoinked out virus? hmmm...
Dot no longer looks like she's in a war! And I sorta like how she's treating the situation "When I look at GlitchBob, I just remember the wars. When I look at bob..I remember the good-ol' days".
OH, and the Game sequence in todays episode...terrific! I'd like to see an entire show done in that kinda animation. It'd be pretty cool. Anyway, it was pretty funny. A cross between PokeMon, & Dragon Ball Z. Haha...Then Bobzilla steped on the trainer kid who looked like a young goku in green.
Anyway. It was good. Just like a classic Season 1&2 episode. Kinda goofy. I enjoyed it.

Yah the animation was really cool in the game scene, but the whole Pokemon thing just plained freaked me out! I'm to a point where anything Pokemon makes me scream in terror. Although it was pretty funny when Bob stepped on the trainer. As for the rest of the episode, it was pretty awesome. I still say Glitch Bob, or whatever you want to call him, is the real one. The other one's okay, but for some reason, I just like the other one better.
