I have two, I let them both outside today, one was too scared so he came back in, but the other is missing do you think he'll come back? I know cats are outside creatures, but I'm just worried

The other will come back when he's hungry. Animals tend stay near places where they can expect to find food, so if you've been feeding your cats regularly, the little guy should pop up sooner or later.

He came back, it turned out he was under the porch the whole time

Cats do whatever the heck they want, whenever the heck they want to do it.
It's just a fact of life.

Know what? My cousin's cat was missing for 6 weeks. They had just moved, and a couple weeks later, she left. Now, she was a fat thing when she left, but when she came back several weeks later, she was average size. That was over a year ago. So far as I know, she's still around.
This is also weird when you consider the fact that she's also rather elderly, for a cat. She's lasted through 2 of mine, which should make her about 10 or 11 years old.

My grandparents' cat is about 19 or 20 years old, I kid you not. I swear the only thing keeping him alive is stubborness.

hell I didn't even buy my current cat, my dad gave him a turkey leg about 14 years ago and he's been with us since, he's an outside cat so he just goes where he wants and comes back when he wants sustainance or attention (usually attention)

Don't let your cat out again... =[
You never know what rabid wild thing is running around, i.e. Dog, Raccoon, snake...
I love my Cat Rocky... often referred to as Mr. Kittles.

Cat (k 'at): fluffy, portable lapwarmer who thinks the world revolves around it and is probably right.

*sniggers* Someone call Webster's and tell them they need to update the definition of "cat".

My old cat could beat up dogs. And I think most cats are smart enough to stay away from raccoons. I don't think there's too many snakes that live in cities that would attack cats.

You never know what rabid wild thing is running around, i.e. Dog, Raccoon, snake...Hmmm, a RABID SNAKE. I don't think I've ever seen one of those, mind explaining how a snake can suffer from a disease that only affects mammals? (jusk kidding, I know what you mean)
Anyways, I have a cat, and he uses my toe to scratch his head. He also sticks his cold nose in my face when I'm sleeping and it wakes me up. I hate him... But I' love him too... I guess...

1: extremely violent : FURIOUS b : going to extreme lengths in expressing or pursuing a feeling, interest, or opinion
2 : affected with rabies
I obviously referred to definition 1, which you apparently had no idea about. =P
and Master Moron, my cat is a boxer... hence his name. There are still dangers out there... like cat nappers. =[

actually I think definition one refers almost exclusively to humans, as a snake doesn't really get angry, it will defend itself against what it percieves to be a threat, but it doesn't get angry in the human sense of the word. So =P yourself.

That's a joke... Right? If it's not, Then consider this: Almost all of the non-poisonous snakes won't hurt you except maybe for a pretty harmless bite if you startle them, and as for poisonous snake they too will only bite you if they percieve you as a threat (i.e. you come too close to them, you hurt them, you startle them, or just screw with them in general) Don't mess with the snake and the snake won't mess with you, it's simple.

cats seriously can brighten up your day.
Keep a watchful eye on em unless you want em to be pissy and foamy all the time

Cats are tough, dude. After all, they're the animal that's rumored to have nine lives - that rumor had to come from somewhere, right? :D
I knew this one cat who got stuck in the engine of a truck. (Don't remember if it was running or not, but I think it was.) She lost a leg and most of an ear, but she lived. My old cat accidentally ingested some chemical that our neighbors had put on their lawn - insecticide or fertilizer, maybe - and he was really sick for a while, but he lived too.
It's also typical cat behavior to hide in a little spot and sleep. There have been quite a few times where I couldn't find the cat I have now, and I'd give up looking - only to open the linen closet and find him sleeping on the towels, or pull out a chair at the kitchen table and nearly sit on him, or something like that.
I'm not saying don't care about your cat at all. But I am saying that you don't have to worry too much about him.

I guess he might come back. I used to have 2 cats named Chaz and Rune (I'm a BIG Phantasy Star IV fanatic). But they were more indoor cats.

So if a cat goes too close and the snake is hungry.. it won't swallow it? That would happen and I consider that to be violent .

You my friend (living in New York) Must have a very small cat, because an average sized cat would probably be much to big to be swallowed by any snake you might find in the Bronx. Also, if a snake were to attack a cat, it would have quite a fight on it's hands unless it was VERY poisonous (and you would not find a snake that poisonous in the Bronx).

actually, that cat would not have to be particularly small, but the snake would have to be particularly big. hehehehe...

Snake can eat goats man! And it doesn't matter where I live... I never let my cat out. But for someone who lives in Texas... forget it.

Despite all this talk about snakes, outdoor cats are much more likely to be run over by a car or attacked by another cat.

yep. i live out in the boondocks in CA, so i dont have to worry about cars or snakes that much. in fact, out here, dogs and cats seem to have road priority over cars. its funny. hehehehe..:anime:
