I have a feeling this was the scene that was edited...

One of the hunting hounds fires his rifle at the escaping duck but nothing happens. He checks his gun by unloading it and staring at the bullet. The bullet then backfires in the dog's face leaving him in blackface. Not wanting to be the only one to suffer, he hands the same bullet to his hunting partner who also stares at it for a second. It goes off in his face too, leaving him in blackface as well.

Yep, that's the scene. I got the uncut version of it a few years ago on the Tex Avery Screwball Classics tape, with the uncensored versions of "Magical Maestro" and "Bad Luck Blackie" as well.
