Ok, I just watched ROTJ for like the millionth time and I can't figure out how Terry comes up with the information to have the computer do a search for the name Jolly Jack? How did he know this? I don't understand. Am I missing something?

Aha, the eternal question. Everyone's guess is that the logo was supposed to appear in the background when Joker was talking to Terry in the laser room, but the production staff goofed and forgot to put it there.

yup, it was a mistake. in the screenplay, theres a jar of jellybeans w/ jollyjack on it or something. i hope they edit one in on the uncut dvd, that would be great. maybe we should email wb to give them the idea.

This was indeed a mistake - as was said, there was supposed to be a jar of candy in the scene where Terry sees the Joker talking to him through the video-phone thing. But, there is a somewhat acceptable explanation still - if you watch the scene where the Joker shows up to crash Bruce's party, you can see most of the Jolly Jack name on the side of the car/hovercraft that Joker and the gang escape on. Of course, this doens't explain why it takes Terry so long to realize to serach for the name....

they should just digitally edit in the candy for the upcoming uncut dvd. it'd be so easy for them to do.

They could do that, but then again, it still wouldn't be the same "un-edited"..I say, just release the un-edited and be done with it. If they wanna fix it later, they can release a 3rd version...

A third version? No!! I haven't no problems with them digitally adding in the can. I think with that, it would be the true unedited version, becuase that is another thing both the edited and current unedited version don't have. Heck, it would make the DVD release the ultimate version.

ok..I guess I'll be fine w/ a edited un-edited version....but, it's still not the same as it was before..
But, hey, knowing WB, they won't do anything to it.. they'll let it go as cheap as they can.. ;)
