i missed most of the second half of the cell saga, so can anyone who has seen it answer a few questions...
1. how'd they finally defeat cell and howd goku die because of it?
2. How'd goku come back in the boo saga (i missed the first few eps of boo)
3. How'd android 18 come back, and did the other androids come back to life too? and if so, where are they now?
4. Who is goten's mother?
5. How old is gohan in the boo saga and how old was he when he had goten?
6. And finally, can someone just give a brief explaination of what happened in the cell saga, like with the tornament and how that came to be and all that. i never understood the concept behind the cell games, probably cause i missed so many eps. also whats the back story w/ dr. xero (sp??) and what ever happened to him?
thanks alot. im really enjoying the new eps! I went to china town today in search of this awesome majin boo toy from japan, the one thats big and fat. ive seen it there all the time, but i couldnt find one today, so i bought a trunks instead. yeah, i havent had the time to keep up w/ dbz after garlic jr and the very begining of the cell saga when freeza returns.
but, does anyone how many eps dbzx has and if CN is airing all the remaining dbz eps, till the end of the series? if they are, is it in this run? how many more sagas to go?? and i thought i saw a really late dbz subtitled ep a long time ago w/ freeza in it, so after boo does freeza come back again?? also, are they planning on showing gt? thanks for the info. peace.

1. Gohan blasted Cell in rage. Goku died before hand because Cell started his self destruct mode and Goku used his instant translocaton to take Cell away from earth. Goku (being Goku) took Cell to King Kai's panet. After Cell blew up he regenerated and went back to Earth.
2.?????? Goku did get 1 day to go to the world tournement is that what you were talking about.
3.Gohan punched Cell and he er.... pucked her out.
4.Chi-chi
5.Gohan is 17(I think) in the great Saiyanman saga. Goku is Gotens farther
6.Cell just decided to have a tournament to have some fun on earth before he destroyed it. Dr Gero was part of a organisation that Goku defeated during Dragonball. He was leater killed by androids 17 and 18.

1. SSJ2 Gohan defeated Cell with a one handed Kame Hame Ha. Goku died because before that, Cell attempted to self detonate him self because he was losing the battle. Goku used Instantaneous Movement to send him and Cell to Kaio-sama's planet. He exploded, killing Kaio-sama, Goku, Bubbles and Gregory. However, he regenerated back into his perfect form, went back to Earth and continued his fight with Gohan.
2. All the good people who die get to return to Earth for 24 hours
3. Android 16- Destroyed by Cell, never comes back
Android 17- Brought back by the wish to bring back all killed by Cell. Appears towards the end of the Buu saga and in DragonBall GT
Android 18- Puked up by Perfect Cell. Kurrin then protects her till she flies off. Sometime during the 7 years of peace, she marries him
4. Chi Chi
5. Gohan is 17. He didn't have Goten, Goten is his younger brother who was conceived during the time of rest before the Cell Games
6. In DragonBall, Goku destroyed the Red Ribbon army, who Gero worked for. He became obsessed with revenge against Goku. His first attempts were Android 19 and 20 (an android with his brain in it). However, they were no match for a Super Saiya-jin. He raced back to his lab to activate 17 and 18. However, they refused to follow his orders and killed him. They have a short reign of terror until Imperfect Cell shows up and absorbs them, making him Perfect Cell.
Cell declares a tournement, the Cell Games, so he can prove he is the greatest fighter on Earth (Cell was made by Gero from the cells of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Frieza and King Kold. This explains him wanting to prove he was the greatest). He gives the Z-senshi 10 days to train. After 10 days, the tournement is held. Goku puts up a fair fight, but can't beat Cell. Gohan goes next. He tells Cell of how powerful he becomes when mad. This interests Cell, who attempts to make Gohan show this power. He suceeds and Gohan achives SSJ2. After a long battle (in which Goku is killed), Gohan defeats Cell for good.
All the damage done by Cell is fixed with the Dragon Balls. Goku chooses to stay in heaven, because he believes the reason Earth has faced all these dangers is because of him. 7 years pass. The Buu saga begins....

thanks guys. i feel dumb, i thought goten was gohans son. hehe. this will sound stupid too, but what does ssj2 stand for? super sayian level 2??? and if goku is on earth for only 24 hours, then this whole time during the boo saga has only been one day so far?
also, where'd the supreme kai and bobbity boo come from and what's their story? and how come gohan can defeat cell and goku cant, i mean, isn't goku and vegeeta stronger than gohan?
also, does anyone know if the boo saga is the last dbz saga untill gt? if not, whats next saga and is cn showing the remaining dbz eps during this run of new eps? how many dbzs are there anyway? and are they planning on showing gt?

Yep, Super Saiya-jin 2. I think the Buu saga is about 3-4 days long. I'll leave Kaio-shin and Buu's history to a certain Kaio-shin fan at this forum ;) . Gohan is the most powerful person in the universe. However, due to not training after the defeat of Cell, Vegeta and Goku surpass him. Buu saga is the last DBZ saga. The DBGT sagas are- Black Star Dragon Ball saga, Bebi saga, Super 17 saga and Evil Shenlong saga.

Gohan is about 16 1/2 in the Buu saga, if you count his year in the ROSAT, 17 1/2. The Buu saga all the way up till they kill Buu is one day long.
The Buu saga is 91 episodes long and they will be showing them all. And what do you mean how many DBZs are there? There's Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT.
A **** load of years ago Badidi's father Bibidi made Buu. After only a few years, they caused several hundred planets to become dead. There were five kaioshins and Buu killed 4 of them. Bibidi sealed up Majin Buu to take a break, because he knew Buu could kill him. He sent the sphere Buu was in to Earth. Kaioshin killed Bibidi before he can release Buu again. But then Bibidi had a son named Babidi who has the power to release Buu. Now they're trying to stop Buu from being released again.
Yes, the Buu saga is the last saga till GT.

Akira Toriyama is responsible for the Cinderella joke.
Hercule is not his real name, in the original his name is Mr Satan

Akira Toriyama must be one twisted little man. I'd love to meet him. Cinderella and urine gags. The Japanese Tex Avery. "Tekusu Ei-beri". Anyway, you guys said everything I was gonna mention on this subject, but one thing bothers me-- Why didn't Goku just use instant transmission a second time to escape the explosion that killed him? And how could Cell have learned instant transmission if Goku didn't know it when his cells were fused with Cell's? And when does Fusion take place? You know, Gotenks and Gogeta? Are Kiaoshin's earrings the Fusion earrings? Why in God's name did FUNimation change Mr. Satan's name to Hercule? I laugh every time they try to replace his written name on the show. It jumps everywhere.

Goku didn't have time. He'd have needed to concentrate, pick up someone's (like Gohan) ki, grab Kaio-sama, Bubbles and Gregory and then teleport.
Fusion can be done in 2 ways-Potara earrings (permanent) or fusion dance (lasts for half an hour). Gotenks is formed when Goten and Trunks do the fusion dance, Vegetto is formed when Vegeta and Goku used the earrings. Gogeta is an anime only character. He appears in one movie and GT. He is the result of Goku and Vegeta doing the fusion dance.
Yes, Kaio-shin's earrings are the fusion earrings.

Gokuu could've excaped when Cell self-destruced. He didn't even try. He's just a retard.
The fusion with the potara earings is mainly used by Kaioshins but is also used by Vegeta & Goku and the fusion lasts forever, unless something unusual happens. Goku recieves these earings from Rou Kaioshin after Kaioshin & Kibit fuse with them for a demonstration, and is told to use them with Gohan. Goku instead has to use them with Vegeta because Gohan was absorbed by Buu. Each person who wants to fuse must wear one earing on the oppisite ear of the other and they hold hands to fuse.
Goku learned the fusion dance in the afterlife. The two people who are fusing must be around the same height, weight, and power level, but Gokuu and all of them can lower and higher their power levels so power doesnt really matter.
And Gohan was stronger than Gokuu and Vejita at the cell games because he trained in the ROSAT, acheived SSj and got much stronger. That and plus he had a hidden power that he just needed to release. Which he does after Cell steps on #16's head. He then acheives SSj2.

No, he just didn't have the time to do that. Or he just didn't think of doing it.

The least they could of done was try to put some thought into the name.

91 episodes that take place in one day. only dbz.
i have one more question...so, how the heck did krillen and android 18 have a baby??? and is the baby half android? and what her name? shes really strange looking.
anyone know how many days the other sagas spanned? i know the cell saga was long, but frieza seemed to only be a few days if i remember right.
also, i didnt see gohan reach ssj2. whatd he look like? bigger hair? and what kind of powers did he get? also, since goku teleported cell to king kai's planet before he self destructed, what happened to everyone on the planet and the planet? i think someone said all the damage cell did was reversed by the dragon balls, but just making sure. and if thats the case, then why didnt goku return?
oh, and i didnt see the most of the cell eps, but if goku could have teleported back before cell blew up, im sure he may not have if he couldnt take the others on king kais planet w/ him. he may have felt guilty, like the honorable thing to do would be to stay there. hmmm, just a thought.

Android 17 and 18 are cyborg, humans with android parts added to them. It seems Gero left in their reproductive systems. The child's name is Marron and she is 100% human
Saiya-jin saga is a year and two days. Frieza saga is about a week or a month. Cell saga, from when Trunks arrives with the warning to the defeat of Cell is about 3 years and 15 days.
The best comparison for SSJ2 is "going Super Saiya-jin whilst being Super Saiya-jin". It's a massive power up, as shown by the fact that injured SSJ2 Gohan beat Cell with that one handed Kame Hame Ha.
Goku didn't return because he didn't want to endanger the Earth. He believed that all the villains who threatend Earth were coming after him, so if he stayed in heaven, Earth would have peace.
You're right about Goku's honour. No way did he have the heart to dump the exploding Cell on his former mentor, then teleport to safety.

Personally, I always thought that Goku died due to lousy writing. Let's face it, the writers (Toriyama, I guess) just wanted to kill off Goku. It could've been done better but wasn't. No offense to all of you DBZ fans, but it was just their way of having Goku die in a dramatic fashion. There's no reason why he couldn't have grabbed Kai and the others and teleported, or at least have even tried instead of just standing there.
Okay, question, if anyone can give an answer: If Piccolo can regenerate only if his head is OK, how can Cell regenerate from 1 cell? Bad writing, maybe? I mean an explanation that was given in the show and not a "maybe" idea that someone came up with. Thanks, I don't mean to sound like a jerk but probably do. :)

It's known that Toriyama wanted to make Gohan the main character. To do that, he needed to get rid of Goku. I don't agree that Goku's death was lousy. He died a heroes death, saving the world. I really don't think he had the time or the heart to escape.

You know, you're questioning the writing of a show where the heroes beat up the bad guy by getting really, really mad and really, really powerful for sometimes no reason at all.
Obviously, logic is out the window in this case. Just sit and enjoy the carnage (if you like it in long doses).

I honestly think the show would have been better if he had died on Namek.

I have always thought because Cell and Piccolo were completely different in the way they regenerate. Maybe because Cell is a bio-android, and that parts of him are alive and can think, if they are all that's left of him. As for Piccolo, I might be because Nameks just....can't (I know it's lame).

He said that that was how Dr. Gero created him, didn't he? After he came back he said that Dr. Gero created him so he could regenerate from a certain cell in his brain.
I have a question (which i feel rather incompetent asking, i might add).. But why doesn't trunks have a tail? Is it becasue he's only half saiyan? but that doesn't make any sense because Gohan had a tail... Did he at one point have a tail? The same goes for Goten... I think...

Because Goku's like Superman. Goku = earth name. Kakkarot = alien name.

As far as the Saiya-jins are concerned, Kakarotto is his name.
Seems Goku does have alot in common with Superman, like LLJ. Both look human but are super powered aliens. Both came to Earth in a pod as a baby. Both called one name by the people they were raised by and a dif name by the people they came from. Both are the last babies of their planet.
