It was the one where the power went out and some guy I think his name was Stormy lit a flare and blew up, and Debi rambled on about the flashlight missing from her pantie drawer. It turned out to be just a film and at the end Stormy lit a cigarette and the place really blew up.

Ah Fusebox, not one of my favorites.

It took me a while to warm up to Sealab, but now, I kinda like it.

Yeah... it's not as bad as some people claim. I just recently started to watch it after ATHF's weekday run was over.

Fusebox is one of my favorite episodes of Sealab. There, I said it. :D

Funnily enough "Fusebox" was my first full episode I saw. It's still my favourite. Proof that animation and story can't beat fine, well written dialogue.

Its just not the same without Murphy.

The show (IMO) died with Harry =(

"Fusebox" is definitely my least-favorite episode. My favorite is probably a tie between "The Legend of Baggy Pants" and "Feast of Alvis." I agree, the show has been missing that special something since the passing of Harry Gox (Capt. Murphy), but the last couple of episodes I caught still had me laughing out loud.

It started dying before that.

Harry was just the final nail in the casket.

Actually I have. Yeah, it's not the same without Harry Goz as a cast member, but the older episodes are still good.

That episode is pretty funny. My favorites so far are "Policy" and "All That Jazz".

That's pretty much the whole point. It's not that folks hate Sealab itself...

Sealab used to be hilarious. Shortly before we lost Goz, things started to go downhill... and now, it's like the writers aren't even trying.

So, yeah. The early Sealab episodes are great. The newer stuff... ergh.

I haven't been a fan of Sealab for long, but my favorite episode is "Bizarro". I've been wondering though, what happened to Murphy? I've never been sure of that, and I figured the best place to ask would be here.

Although I didn't see Murphy's final episode, I read that there was mention in his last episode that he was leaving Sealab to go fight in "the Great Spice Wars" or something like that. (In reality, actor Harry Goz passed away, so they needed a way to write Captain Murphy out of the show. At least they didn't just try to replace him.)

I also like that one episode of Sealab 2021 where the crew has to drink blood from skulls to become part of some brotherhood. What is that episode called?

Why?

"Bizarro" is generally considered one of the worst episodes they ever did. It's a good example of everything that has gone wrong with the show lately.

I think Sealab can be a good show, just lately some of it stuff ranges from OK to mediocre.. It isn't the same without Murphy, but I do sometimes chuckle at Sealab still now and then.

Tonight's episode of "Dearly Beloved Seed" was the best episode I have seen yet. It had me rolling on the floor laughing. The blatant foul language and violence made it great. I guess that just struck me as funny.

The worst part about Sealab sucking so much these last few years is that it appears they're making it suck intentionally. They've shown with Frozen Dinner and Splitsville that they're capable of doing great shows without Goz but a vast majority of the episodes from the last two or so years seem to put more of an emphasis on playing with conventions and/or simply filling 11 minutes with something than on actually being funny. Both through the work itself and through interviews I've derived a defined sense of apathy towards the quality of the show from writers and artists behind it. It's obvious that whatever great premises/ideas they had for an underwater research station with cabin fever have long been gone and now they're just really bored with it. Reed and Thompson should move on. The first season and the first half of the second season still kick ass, though.

Oh well, I still liked it, as well as the older shows from Season 1 that I've caught now and then. :)

I saw it for the first time too. About 2 years ago. I laughed. I just thought everyone might like to know that. :)
