Next TZ Reality TV Show Game?

Hey gang...

It's never too early to start thinking about which Reality TV Show we wanna play next, right? Well, with Survivor: Toon Zone winding down (granted, there's still 3 more Tribal Councils to go... but we're heading to the end!), it's time to start thinking about what game we should do next.

Thanks to the "Wonders" of Reality TV, we have a whole plethora of games available to choose from. Granted, certain games we just can't do (Dating, Makeovers, Home Renovations); but there is still a lot out there.

So, do we want to find another tropical island for another rousing rendition of Survivor? Maybe lock 13 players in a house and watch them plot their way to the end with Big Brother watching? ...and those are the only two I can think of at 3 in the morning...

So, this is the brainstorm thread. No idea is too ridiculous. So let's start planning.

(keep in mind, the games not gonna start right after Survivor ends, but there seems to be enough expressed interest to keep the trend alive... as with all reality shows... hehehe)

Okay, can I critize?

For "The Amazing Race", okay, the problem is, which places are we going to go to? Real places....or places in cartoons, anime, video games, etc.?
And should we role-play as characters?

For "Who Wants to be a Mod", okay, do we have to answer questions? And besides, it could be a bad thing. What happens when all you get are some idiots who just abuse their power? Now you've got 8 banned members and 0 winners.
And you're gonna get some "newbies" that don't really follow the rules or just don't know all of them. And besides, shouldn't some Senior Members be mods? If so, I nominate Sampo!
But, if that idea does work, I'll be sure to participate!


And, my ideas:

"TZ: The Assisstant"- We get to assist a mod (we have to play as ourselves) or a classic character (then we have to play as cartoon, anime, video game characters). It's like MTV's "The Assisstant", you get 8 people (or characters) to help out a mod/admin (or classic cartoon character). If something about you or the day pisses the mod/admin (or classic cartoon character) off, one of them gets phfft phfft phfft CLIPPED! The remaining person (or character) gets to be the assisstant of the mod/admin (classic cartoon character).
But, like in MTV's "The Assisstant", some things must, must go wrong, and some Senior Members and Mods (or other characters not used) need guest appearances...maybe to ruin the day and such (these things happen in "The Assissant"). Also, the mod/admin needs to be impatient and demanding like Andy Dick. Also for the Elimination rounds, like in the show, has to be spoofs of other reality shows.

"TZ: The Real World" Easy. 7 characters that are strangers to one another. Unfortunately, it can't be in real places, so we have to make it take place in a made-up world from cartoons, anime, or video games (like...you can make the people stay in the world of Chron Trigger, etc.). They have to do this for a few weeks or a few months, which ever's possible. Also, if a character has to leave permanently (Like in Real World: San Diego, what happened to Frankie) another character can jump in, IF and ONLY IF all the characters can be comftable with the person staying with them.

"TZ: Road Rules" Easy. A number of characters get to go on a trailer and travel on a made-up world from anime, cartoons, and video games (like Peach's Kingdom from the "Mario" franchise) to a place where a challenge is taking place. After some challenges, elimination begins.

"TZ: Big Brother" You know, a group of characters go in this house (which is rigged). Every week, a character gets eliminated not by the people, but by the public outside, since it's not fair to see a person vote you off when you can see it.

Oh, and Colin, I don't think we could do something like "The Swan", "Next Top Model" or something like "American Idol". Why? We can't actually sing here, making girls compete to be a model wouldn't work out, and something like "The Swan"? Puh-leez! we can't give characters plastic sugery and sheild off all mirrors until the end. That's just...horrible.

i, for one, like the "who wants to be a moderator?" idea. although, the contestants wouldn't necessarily be given official mod powers and the winner would get something like a gift certificate to amazon.com. colin, or whoever is in charge of the contest, would post situations where a mod needs to intervene and whoever recommends the best solution wins that competition

That'll be up to the host of the next game... if it's survivor again, or something different. In either case, it ain't gonna me cause after watching this round of Survivor... I really wanna play! :D

Personally, I like the Amazing Race idea the best...and am not a fan of anything based on a "dating show" sort of premise. :p

I think that would be a yes, because the TV Survivor does that(There's the exception of All Stars, Which is another Idea that we could use after a couple of survivors, like 4, and the hosts from all 4 will host it (If they want to) ).

sorry, majin. but i don't see how a joe shmoe idea would work. the idea behind that reality show is that the only true contestant has no idea what was going on. well, because everything needs to be typed out in the threads, s/he could see what's been going on. unless...all members are pm'd by whoever's in charge of the game saying that it's a joke and not to tell "the contestant", but that's a lot of work

Just alot of the way they did the show, lots of things to do, maybe some of the challenges have clues to lead you to certain certain threads that are in completly different forums on Toonzone like Toonami, or CN forums where you haft to then complete the challenge whatever it might be.

Come to think of it, I think my mom has an old sign up form for the mole. Maybe I could find it and type it out since that's how they selected the mole and everything.

I know of THE APPRENTICE, but how exactly is the show run? How are people eliminated? How are the "challenges" of sorts set up? Since I'm rather unfamiliar with how things are dealt with on the show, I'm not convinced it would translate to the internet so well.

And, above all else - what's the ultimate prize?

I must say that, to date, despite a few bumps in the road, TOON ZONE SURVIVOR has been an absolute hoot. For the next one, I wouldn't mind there being a second SURVIVOR-styled game - but with a different twist, more thematic (so it just doesn't seem like a retreading of this game).

However, I'd prefer something different. I'm cool with anything but...just no dating shows. :p

(Side note...I guess that none of us 18 current participants could be in the next one unless there were still spaces though, huh?)

That's up to whoever hosts the next game... I really, really, really wanna play, cause I think I could certainly stir things up!

Personally, I think Survivor kinda works the best given our environment, and there's certainly no reason why we couldn't do another survivor, set it on a different island and theme it off of that, just like on the show...

but we shall see... :)

I figured I'd stay out of it unless they were in the need for an extra seat to fill, or if it's the mole maybe, but I suppose I've had my turn for now.

I agree with Tim, though some of the challenges were enough to give me a head ache it's been a blast playing TZ survivor! ..Even if I am just a jury member now :D

How About the Amazing Race, But with cartoon worlds, and there'd be challenges. We have to sign in to the owner of the Reality show to reach the pit stop. The Last one there will be eliminated! (Except with Non-Elimination rounds, which the host will not tell the contestants that).

While yes, I was disappointed in the lack of interaction in this game, I think I'll chalk it up to the lack of experience. This is the first time we've done something like this, so people weren't sure what route to go. Play it up too much, and they feel they might be eliminated... stay low-key and don't make enemies probably the better way to go... hopefully the next batch will play it out a little bit differently (cause, lets face it, it's not all about the game being played, it's about the players, too)

I can tell you at the moment, the strong 2 games for the next Reality Show are: Survivor and The Amazing Race. . . so, if you really want to see a different show, speak loud and speak effectively! Convince not only us, but your fellow players what the next game should be!

There will be a decision poll after the winner of Survivor is announced... something to look forward to, eh? ;)
