Veteran animation writer Michael Reaves and Avi Melman have a new series in the works. TZ's own Twage has an interesting interview (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=119569) with them on it.

I'm surprised I haven't heard about this show before. It sounds very well put-together.

Any idea when and where it will air in the U.S?

Unfortunately they couldn't talk about that, though I do know they would like it on sometime, somewhere next year.

India: The neww hub of animation inbetweening :)

Actually, have the animation studios been confirmed yet? You can't do TMS for everything, but I'd be curious to know who handled the animation grunt work.

Weren't Reaves and Melman working on another new animated show? What was it called now? *goes on IMDB to check* Ah yes, "Detroit Docona". What happened with that?

Probably the same thing that happened to that Howard Sterm - Eric Radomski collaboration, Doomsday.

The series was "in development" during the late 1990s. Did *YOU* ever see it on the air? :)

I've never even heard of it...anyway I hope DD does get a chance to air. Michael Reaves is one of my favourite animation writers, he wrote some of the best episodes of "The Real Ghostbusters" and was story editor on other great animated shows like "Batman: TAS". He and Mr. Melman could do something great with the futuristic concept.

Infinite Darcy sounds really innovative...it could be the next Dexter if they do it right....I hope it shows up somewhere where it'll get attention.

A little update on this is in order. I've spoken to Avi since the interview and he says a few things about the animation: 1. None of the art has been done or was ever planned to be done in India. The Indian companies are nothing more than investors. 2. Originally some of it was going to be done in China, but since then Tsuruyama and Melman have decided to have all the key and animation work be done in Japan. So that's a very encouraging sign re: the animation quality.
