Now that "Weinstein" has aired outside of Cartoon Network (on TBS last night, since CN provided the tapes) is there any chance FOX will pull their heads out of their butts and put it on their network. Since they've delayed the new season until Summer '05, airing Weinstein would be a big event to keep Family Guy in the minds of viewers (if they, *gasp* advertise it.)

They should, although I doubt ratings will be high, thanks to the Summer Olympics monstrous ratings so far. What I would like to know is where TBS was able to get the unedited version of "Weinstein"?

Did they have the unedited line about killing the lord?
By the way, the end of "Da Boom" made everyone in the cycle room laugh hysterically. Especially the older ladies who probably watched Dallas.

Yes, they did.

Uh....what were you watching? They DID have the edited line in last night. It may be a little hard to hear since it's a song (with music and everything) but I listened in closely and sure enough Peter said "I don't think they killed my lord" with mis-match lip sync and everything. Yeah, it was edited...

I thought it was a crappy episode, with the Optimus Prime gag being the only highlight, so I really don't care if Fox airs it or not. If you're looking for politically incorrect Jewish humor on Family Guy, there are other episodes that have much better jokes than "Weinstein."

It was already reported here yesterday that TBS played the uncut episode.

I don't see what difference it would make on FOX's end. Just because CN and TBS aired it.
At this point, the stigma has worn off. Hyping it as an event won't work.

What about the Star War's joke?

I don't remember the episode that well. I'm sure there were a few other good jokes, I just thought that it was one of the weaker Family Guy episodes and nobody would talk about it much at all if it wasn't for the "controversy."

FOX has taken it upon themselves to pixilate all butt shots from the show and eliminate the words "crap" and "dump" (wtf?) from the show for their re-airings. Dosen't bode well for the future.
