According to <a href="http://www.comicon.com/splash/splash">Comicon's Splash</a>, the sales for The Dark Knight Strikes Back (aka Dark Knight 2) have been through the roof, and may knock Marvel out of the top spot for the first time in years! The site reported that DC’s “The Dark Knight Strikes Again,” will be the year’s highest selling project with initial orders coming in above 175,000 copies. At $7.95 the 80 page graphic novel installment will generate the highest dollar share of any comic of the last five years. This is exactly what DC needs after a long year of being trounced by Marvel in the top 25, this premiere slot can help bring a resurgance back to DC. Will this raise the sales of other comics? Only time will tell.
