Wasn't there a new Wacky Races cartoon that aired in the 90s?

I remember it being Yogi Bear and company being part of a race and Dick Dastardly and Muttley was still the bad guys.

Does anyone else remember it?

Does anyone else remember it?You're thinking of Fender Bender 5000, a series of Wacky Races-like shorts that aired along with Monster Pets (I think that's the name of it, it's been so long since I've seen it; it's a series about dog and cat versions of Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, and others living and working in a hotel) on the weekday morning 1990 series Wake, Rattle, and Roll (which became Jump, Rattle, and Roll when it aired on Disney Channel, also adding a third short, either a Cave Mouse or Undercover Elephant short).

That'd have been "Fender Bender 500", which was a backup segment on the early 90's syndicated H-B live-action/animated show "Wake, Rattle and Roll" (just before the various mega-mergers [and the locked-down vertical-integration mentality they wrought onto the airwaves] of the 90's and boom in first-run syndicated talk shows/court room shows/etc. killed off first-run syndicated kids' TV)...

Said race consisted of Dick and Muttley (in their car from "wacky races") racing against various A- and B-list H-B stars, including Yogi and Winsome Witch (she had a giant cauldron on wheels)...

As for a new "Wacky Races"-type show, with the popularity of NASCAR (which stupefies me as to why it's popular, but...(shrug)), and reality shows like "The Amazing Race" (technically, a game-show version of "Around the World in 80 Days", but also fairly "wacky" elements to it, along with emphasis on how different the various racing couples are), a new/revamped version of "Wacky Races" could work---though I guess that'd require CN/Time-Warner to revive a pre-Cartoon Network/Batman:TAS-era animated series that doesn't involve Scooby...

Although Dastardly's car had the same design, it was much larger (about the size of an SUV) and called the Dirty Dragster. Among the other vehicles used here were Yogi Bear and Boo Boo racing in the Jellystone Jammer which looked like a giant picnic basket. Top Cat and Choo Choo raced in a vehicle that looked like a trash can. Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy raced in one with a doghouse design. QuickDraw McGraw and Baby Looey raced in the Texas Twister and Huck Hound and Snagglepuss raced in the Half-dog Half-cat Halftrack (try saying that 5 times in a row! ). Cool thing about this show was that Dastardky and Muttley actually won a couple of races. And there were at least a couple of shorts where they weren't really featured. If Boomerang is indeed adding some pre-school programming (preferrably early morning only), Wake, Rattle, and Roll would be a good choice to be on the schedule as we would get the opportunity to see these early 90's classic cartoons. :)

Fender Bender 500 was a 90's Wacky Races that was part of the show Wake, Rattle and Roll (http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/ShowMainServlet/showid-13608/Wake_Rattle__Roll/). Some TVtome info...

FENDER BENDER 500: The Wacky Races of the 90's which had the racers drive monster trucks. Competitors included Yogi & Boo Boo (#1), Huck & Snagglepuss (#2), Wally Gator & Magilla Gorilla (#3), Top Cat & Beany (#4), Quick Draw McGraw & Baba Looey (#5), Pixie & Dixie (#6), Augie Doggie & Doggie Daddy (#7), Winnie Witch (#13), along with those famous evil doers (who won a race once in a while) Dick Dastardly & Muttley (#00). Shadoe Stevens (Hollywood Squares), provided the narration!

hey that "monsters pets" wasnt called that it was called "monster tails", i have "the best of wake, rattle & Roll" on vhs still...which is just like one of those clip things but has some shorts.

i personally liked the show as a whole but now those live-action segments seem sooo cheesy lol
