Were Batman Beyond's writer's sloppy?

It strikes me as odd in some way that the Batman Beyond creators knew what the initial order for episodes were, and they filled that order, but yet still left things hanging. Shouldn't they have been more careful with the episodes they were given to make and done more important things with the shows rather than have a bunch of high school episodes? In some ways, I think they basically wasted away their last season when they could have been making more important episodes. They were banking on an additional season that the WB had no interest in renewing, so the way I see it, they blew their chance to give us some great episodes before the series shut down. And from what we were told in the past, they had some great episodes planned for the season that never was that they could have used if they had not wasted episodes that took place in high school more.

I loved Batman Beyond .

Great Series.
I especially loved the interaction between
Bruce and Terry.

The interesting thing about that show was
that Bruce was always batman regardless of
who was wearing the suit.

I also enjoyed the new Bat.
It always felt to me like a
"what if Batman trained Spiderman to be a heroe?"

I thought there were lots of unanswered story threads
left open ... specifically - where was Nightwing?

I thought 'Return of the Joker' was amazing,
Im really looking forward to the "UNEDITED RELEASE"
that rumored to be released soon.
