Who would actually win in a battle of the comic mascot titans?

Anyone got any pics from the 1976 classic comic " Superman vs. Amazing Spider-Man"? if so put some here.

Can you compare Spidy to Supes?

Superman would beat the snot out of Spider-Man without even trying. Unless of course Spidey had a piece of kryptonite handy. But what are the chances of that ever happening? :shrug: Unless of course he steals it from Batman (who's undoubtedly "preparing" for all the other matches that he's pitted against by the courtesy of his very loyal and hardcore fans) lol ;)

Even with spider-sense, there's no way Spidey would be fast enough to react to Superman. Or strong enough, for that matter.

Well DUH! He'd just wait until Supes is finished moping the floor with Spidey, whip out that suit from Dark Knight Returns and then it's out with the Kryptonite and down with the big blue boy! :D

Superman would win without a doubt. This really isn't a contest. Superman vs. the Hulk or something, maybe... but as it stands, Superman would just land Spidey in a hospital bed before he could utter a wisecrack.

Well it was made in 1976 " Superman vs. Amazing Spider-Man' which was the first ever Comic Book crossover in history, it had Lex Luthor and Dr. Octopus joining forces while Supes and Spidy duke it out.

Spider-Man can easily be compared to "Superman" cause Spidy's got superhuman strength and endurance just like Superman. Yeh it's a little too much but Superman and Spider-Man can easily be good friends.

Superman Vs. Hulk was a better idea i agree! There was Spider-Man vs. Superboy since both are teens and there was Batman vs. Captain America in DC Vs. Marvel.

Can you compare Superboy to Spider-Man? Batman to Captain America? Hulk to Superman? Thor to Shazam ( a.k.a. Captain Marvel)? Aquaman to Namor: The Sub-Mariner? Wonder-Woman to Storm? Robin to Jubillee? Darkseid to Thanos? Lobo to Wolverine? Man-Thing to Swamp Thing?

THe answer is... Batman, with enough time to prepare, duh! I mean, he'll just leap out from some hiding place during the Spidey-vs.-Supes fight, whip out some Kryptonite *and* some sort of anti-Spidey trap, and 86 the both of 'em! Yeah! Then, he'll, like, take on Dr. Fate *and* Dr. Strange! Together! Cause he's had "enough time to prepare" for *that* fight, too! Yeah!

As for the 1976 crossover story, I haven't read it---and doubt there was much of a "fight" between the two (esp. since it's the Earth-One, pre-Crisis Superman we'd be talking about here---the guy who could time-travel under his own power and stuff...).

I'm a big Spidey fan, but....Superman wins this easily. I mean, the only way you can hurt the guy is with kryptonite(I view that as kind of cheap though), magic, or by being equal to/greater than his strength level. Spidey might be able to dodge Supes a few times, but when Supes realizes he needs to use super speed, it's all over for Spidey.
