Where all these hobos start dissapearing, so Batman disguises himself as one, and then gets kidnapped. Then he wakes up with amnesia in this black market mining operation as slave and there is this fat new orleans guy that really loves fried chicken and all this sweet hillbilly fighting music. One of my fav. episodes and I wanna see if it's on dvd yet.

"The Forgotten". It's part of the season 1 DVD box set.

It's also on the "Tales of the Dark Knight" single-disc release, but I really recommend the set over any of the single disc pieces of guano.

That was a good episode.I especially like the humor that Alfred provided. The part when Bruce regains his memory is well done.

I remember that episode. I was thinking about it a few days ago. Of course, the only reason I remember it was, ironically, because I didn't like it. I even remembered the title for the very same reason. But, hey, it's been like 6 or 7 years since I've seen it, so who's to say I won't like it now?

A great episode. I always loved the finale, when Batman's fighting all the goons in the caves, ducking in and out of the shadows. Very cool. Great music, too.
How many times did Bruce go undercover as "Matches Malone?" All I can remember is this episode and another one that had Two-Face. I think it was the same episode where Batman and Robin were trapped in the flooded subway tunnel.

Not a fan, really.
And, if I'm not mistaken, exposure to this episode makes Maxie Zeus break out in hives. :D

Y'know, that could be entertaining all on its own ...

Yes, I was all red and patchy from trying to scratch my skin off; in the delirium caused by my exposure to that wretched piece of offal, it was, I thought, the only way to get the stink of it off of me.

I'm still waiting for your extended review of the little stinker. :p

That was "Shadow of the Bat" Part II. Batman recently (this week) used that same cover in Legends of the Dark Knight #182. Although the comic version appears to be VERY different.
I wasn't too satisfied with this episode, though I tend to frown on amnesia plotlines in general due to their overuse. (I figure, if it's been in 90% of Disney Afternoon cartoons, it's cliché.) The music and the Alfred vs The Batwing segment were the only things I liked about it.

I remember this episode. It has one of my favorite lines, one I like to use when talking about nasty looking food. Bruce and one of the other prisoners were in line to get there meal and get served this horrible looking slop. Bruce asks,"What is this stuff?" The other prisoner says,"If it's moving it's a rat. If it's not it's a cooked rat."

He wasn't Matches Malone in this episode; I think he was supposed to be Gaff Morgan, an identity mentioned in the initial BTAS sneak preview in Wizard #12. He used his Matches Malone character -- or one who more resembled him -- in Never Fear.

I was thinking about this episode the other day too. It seems to me, that this was the most played episode. I think I liked it,until I saw it about ten times. Anything gets old when you want to see something different.

This episode was very memorable for me -- because I remember hating it.
Of course, I watched it for nostalgia's sake when I bought my DVD set, and I think I was happier with this episode now than I was 12 years ago. Still not the best, but definitely better than I remember it.

I too have another episode that I think I saw, but don't remeber it's name.
Batman goes to Japan, and I think he vists his old sensei, at some point they fight on a volcano and the sensei jumps into the lava. Is this a real ep or am I just crazy??

I didnt like The Forgotten much when I first saw it as a youngin', I thought it sucked, to be honest. Now? I think it's a pretty good episode, if a bit boring in the middle.
