What if the events of Legacy occurred in-between the first two seasons of Justice League?
How would the other members react?
Would the other league members be able to stop Superman's rampage?

Howdy,
Would the other league members be able to stop Superman's rampage?
Oh, sure. Off the top of my head:
Batman has kryptonite, precisely to handle an out-of-control Superman.
A platoon of Green Lanterns could probably take down Superman, too.
A combination of Wonder Woman and J'onn could bring down Superman, with WW providing a physical beat-down and J'onn attacking him mentally. Either individually would probably not succeed, but put them together and I think you have something.
Dr. Fate and now Zatanna could mop the floor with Supes, since it's still established he has a vulnerability to magic.

Howdy,
Eht "mahtoG slriG" strohs ...
Oh, heck with it.
The "Gotham Girls" Shorts they did a while ago on the WB site had Zatanna teaming with Catwoman once, where she did the backwards speaking thing, which worked a whole lot better than you'd think. I'm not sure if they recorded it forwards and played it backwards or had the voice actress approximate the words in reverse, but the effect and the reverb they gave to the words made it sound really wicked cool.
Zatanna's been one of the top mages in the DC Universe in the comics, so I'm really just assuming the DCAU version won't be terribly different, despite the mostly non-magic appearance in her title ep in BTAS.
Oh, also forgot. Hawkgirl's mace was the most powerful weapon in the universe, so she could probably just smack Superman with it and take him down in one shot :).

Zatanna could make Hawkgirl's mace into cotton candy.
Zatanna could make Hawkgirl's mace into cotton candy.Perhaps, but if her mace could withstand Dr. Fate's magic, Zee probably wouldn't fare much better.

JL really does make you wonder where all the other heroes were during Darkseid's attacks on Metropolis.

JL really does make you wonder where all the other heroes were during Darkseid's attacks on Metropolis. They all popped into existence after that episode in some sort of alternate universe dimension-spanning retconning thingamajig.
Anyway, during the first season of JL, a little kid with a whiffle ball bat could've taken down Supes.
Kidding!
But seriously, based on what we've seen on the show it seem like GL ought to be powerful enough to handle him alone, at least for a while, although if they actually got into a fight on the show Superman would quickly take him down for story purposes.
I always wondered how J'onn would do against him; I mean, if he stays intangible and fights smart, what can Superman really do about it?
Batman carries Krytonite around, but there's a good possibility that he only carries it around because of "Legacy".

Yeah, you're completely right. I think J'onn could take Superman down fairly easy if he did just that.
Batman carries Krytonite around, but there's a good possibility that he only carries it around because of "Legacy".
It depends on when World's Finest was chronologically. If it was pre-Legacy, then I think he picked some up, just in case. Bats is...paranoid, or careful...take your pick.
If it was post-Legacy, then yes, I'm inclined to agree.

Two words: Heat vision.

Two words: Heat vision.I thought about that, but a lot of beam weapons seem to go right through J'onn when he's intangible. OTOH the fact that we can see him when he's intangible means that at least some light is hitting him, so it seems like lasers should be able to hurt him a bit. But does his heat vision really use lasers? Tangent: it's weird that Superman's x-ray vision apparently uses literal x-rays even though they don't act like x-rays at all.
I'd say it's at the writer's discretion, so I have no idea really...
