Ok, i have that SBC/Yahoo DSL internet. Can that be hooked up to my x-box or ps2 and be able to play online with it? Its hooked up to my computer through an ethernet cable, and i think thats whats in the back of my x-box and ps2(well not ps2 yet. i need to buy the hook up for it), but i dont wanna subscribe to anything and not have it work. If anyone knows about this than please help me out. I'll be happy to attempt to answer any questions about it u may have if your not sure.
Thanks.

It should work fine. If you want to double check into at the offical sites for both Xbox Live and Playstation 2 Online.
btw, I suggest getting Xbox Live over the online adapter for PS2.

Yeh, I have SBC Yahoo DSL too. It'll work fine. Go with what Sigma said. Get XB Live.

OK awesome, thanks guys, i was really worried that i would subscribe to XB Live (only was gonna do ps2 for FF11) that it wouldnt work, thanks for the info.
Do you have only one line to one computer? If that's the case than you might want to look for a router. Other than that you should be alright. And don't get a wireless router. You need wires to plug into the ethernet port, unless they've made wireless adapters and I don't know about it.

Yeah i only have 1 going to my comp, but im basicly the only one that ever really needs to be online, so haveing one really isn't a problem, and i dont wanna spend the money on a new line, i have to spend enough to buy a new x-boxen (thats what i like to call it :D or blackbox of death) Im thinking of running mine over. Its ver. 1.2 and it has the worst drive.....EVER. its totally worthless, cant even sell it, my dad being the dumbass that he is, opened it and tried to clean it. He lost a screw for christ sake....and those suckers are HUGE!! *sigh* oh well, better off with a new one.

I have a question: I have dial-up AOL, could that affect my Mario Kart online play?
Yes, Dial-up is poor at online games because of the high ping times, but it's not unplayable. Games like D2 and WC3 function well over Dial-up, but twitch shooters and racing games do not play well.
But I don't really get your question. Last time I checked MK:-DD didn't have online play. It only had LAN networking. You might want to explain a little more.
