I finished the Paramount cartoon logo gallery on my site. I provided a brief synopsis of Paramount's long history of distributing theatrical cartoon shorts along with Paramount logos from over the years. If you click on some of the logos, you can actually see them in full screen format, at least the ones I got in full screen format.
I wanted to have this section ready by this weekend, in honor of the Popeye premiere. I'm excited about actually seeing the B&W logos in their full screen glory as well!
Also, the aap section has been updated to reflect the start of the new Popeye show.

Those were pretty cool, but does ANYONE have caps from the ORIGINAL Herman and Katnip opening? My copy of HARVEY CARTOON CLASSICS: HERMAN & KATNIP has the cartoon "Mice-Capades" with the "Skiddle-Diddle-Dee" song.
Apparently, there would be some sort of swipe from the original Paramount logo, to Herman standing and smiling. There'd be a zoom up to find Katnip about to pounce on the mouse, but Herman escapes his clutches and pulls the H&K logo across the screen. Apparently, the one on "Mice-Capades" was the late 50s logo, holding over for a long period of time, possibly to remove the Famous Studios logo.
It would than cut to a series of credits and disolves, with the names of people who worked on the cartoons, with drawings of H&K, matching the lyrics, like when it goes "Katnip, the cat, packs his bag and leaves the house!", we see a picture of Katnip running with a suitcase and golf bag from the house.
Anyone have an idea of WHERE I can see the original titles?

Nice job with the Paramount logo page Argus -- but one correction: The Paramount 1946 logos were actually from 1948 or 1949, because the Technicolor Corp. back then had the power to tell studios how their process would be labeled. That's why both the Paramount and Warner's cartoons (and MGM, if anyone could see the original mid-1940s titles) changed from "In Technicolor" to "Color by Technicolor" in 1948, and then in early 1957 changed from "Color by Technicolor" to the "Technicolor (R)" logo shown lower down on your page.

And because of Bonnie Blue's relatives, Argus Sventon had to go back and fix his site.
