The Spheal of Approval
Originally Aired: May 29, 2004
Visiting the local museum, known as the Oceanic Museum, Ash and company see a special rock that is said to be a part of the legendary Groudon. Well, where there's Groudon, Team Magma's not far behind. Can Ash, along with a Spheal, stop Team Magma from retrieving the fragment, or has Team Magma finally acquired the piece they need to revive the mighty Groudon?
Comments: As with the last episode, I missed this when it first premiered, which is why the episode description sounds very thin.

All in a Day's Wurmple
Originally Aired: January 3, 2004
While traveling in random forest #4912093, May sees a cute little Bug-type named Pokémon named Wurmple. She decides to catch it, but Team Rocket, specifically Jessie, want to capture the same Wurmple. During the struggle, May is separated from the rest of the group and meets up with a young trainer named Franklin. Meanwhile, Ash learns about 2-on-2 battling Hoenn-style from another kid named...Franklin! Wha? What's going on here?
Comments: Technically Ash's 2nd 2-on-2 battle (he had one in the Orange League), this is a decent enough episode. While Wurmple's antics aren't as funny as Caterpie-and-Misty's antics from Kanto, it's still funny. It took May long enough to catch a Pokémon...

Gonna Rule the School!
Originally Aired: January 10th, 2004
Ash and the gang have finally made it to Rustboro City, and almost immediately meet up with the Gym Leader, Roxanne. She gives the gang a tour of her school, where young trainers learn the finer points of battling. Max enrolls for a little while and participates in his first battle with another student, pitting his Magby against Max's borrowed Poliwag. Of course, Team Rocket's not gonna let them have any fun without them around!
Comments: Remember when we didn't have the obligatory set-up episode prior to a Gym Battle? I wish there was another Gym Battle like the Sabrina Battle from Kanto. Also, the production staff seem to have forgotten that Forretress is a Steel-type as well as a Bug-type...

Jump for Joy!
Heading out to Mauville City, Ash and the gang stop over in a cliff-top Pokémon Center to rest up, but Nurse Joy has gone missing! What could have happened? And what's with all the Seedot, Nuzleaf, and a Shiftry? And how long will it take for Team Rocket to attack?
Comments: FINALLY! A new episode! This one looks to be interesting, and Shiftry are one of the more interesting Pokémon in the game...

A Different Kind of Misty!
Nope, this ain't Misty's grand return, though it is coming soon. Team Rocket has stolen a special stone that powers the local lighthouse, and now Ash and company have to get it back quick! They won't be alone, as the electric duo of Plusle and Minun are ready and willing to help out!
Comments: Yay. Plusle. Minun. They make their debut. Can you note my excitement? And I thought Pichu was annoying...

NOTES
Kids' WB! finally plays new episodes today!.
Spheal and Sealeo are the unevolved forms of Wailrein, one of the more popular Pokémon from Ruby/Sapphire.
Sheesh, all my other notes are in my comments. :P
Plusle and Minun make a re-appearence in Movie #7.
My CN Talkback partner, Red Giant, is now doing the Yu-Gi-Oh! Talkbacks.
