Sony released this image yesterday. It'll be appearing in theatres soon as another one-sheet for the movie.

Still slightly disappointed with the costume, but still hyped up about seeing it as well....

He still looks like a robot you might see in Attack of the Clones! Oh, well, I too am also still excited about this movie and plan on seeing it!

That's...interesting. Needs some purple.

i'm dying to see how he conveys emotion and actually speaks in the movie..as of now he looks look an escape six flags costumed actor that somehow snook into the film.

I'm still a bit mixed about it, too. At least he doesn't look at POWER-RANGER like now. I like the Goblinwing, though. That looks pretty sweet looking.

Funny that such an organic character would be designed so.... angular.... did they miss something or is it me? Did they get a clever (and by that I mean someone who has looked at a comic) designer to do Spidey and then got a guy who has spent years drawing cylons for Goblin?

Certainly looks that way to me....

It could be an armor over the real Green Goblin look. Osborn could be horribly disfigured under that armor - a la Dr. Doom.

When I first saw the Green Goblin "robo-suit"...I thought it was pretty cool. Then I saw the mask, & almost cried.

If you ask me, if they JUST put maybe some dark purple(maybe even green) raggy cloaks over the body suit, it'd look MUCH better. Like in that Alex Ross pic? robo suit drapped in rags to give him that eerie villianous look that the Green Goblin truely is.

But, william Dafoe was an excelent choice for Osborn...so..hopefully that makes up for it?

lol, I was thinking the exact same thing when I heard someone say "needs more purple." :) It does. And frankly I think the guy in the GG costume in the Universal Studios theme park in Orlando looked more pleasing to a fan's eye (he threw exploding pumkin bombs at me while Dr Doom shot at me with a water cannon. It's true, I took pictures).

I like it okay despite the strange changes, although I AM worried about how he'll display emotions with all that tech gear on. Might as well get a robot to play him. :p

Agreed, all that suit really needs for it to work are some rags thrown over it.

I read something very interesting in an interview with one of the designers of the costume. The original design was a lot more complex and cool looking. However it would have cost a fortune to do in CGI. There are several green goblin and spidey fight sceens in the movie that are completely CGI. They simplified the costime to make it easier & cheaper.

Yeah, I'd like it a little more if he didn't look like "The Naked Goblin"

It still might work though. I'm not feeling particularly good or bad about it.

If this is armor over the real Goblin costume, or if they will throw rags on it as is suggested, then I think this new poster really misses the mark. They need to be showing us GG as he will appear in the movie. I suspect they have.

But maybe they want to keep his real under-the-armor look a suprise, which really isn't bad. They want to have some suprises for the movie. This is the umpteenth time Spidey's origina has been told. They need to add something new in there somewhere.

I could see it now. The GG armor we see in those pictures doesn't work out too well for him, so he goes to the more traditional costume? Yeah, I could see how they might bring that into the movie as a surprise. I've seen movies do things like that before.

That's not what I mean. He is horribly disfigured and therefore wears the armor so noone can see. Sometime in the movie, the armor gets torn off and we see the real goblin.

You mean the disfigured face behind the mask? I'd more like to see the Green Goblin we are all familiar with!

I am still hyped to see this movie even though the Green Goblin costume has made we wondering what the heck people are thinking sometimes, (ie. has anyone read a Spider-Man comic and if so, has their vision been tested?)

Like what DG said maybe the armor falls off after a battle and the real goblin is seen.

Remember Osborn is a brillant scientist so maybe he builds the suit of armor just like how for a time Spider-Man had his own Silver Armor(Web Of Spider-Man #100?)

I can't see that being his mutated form or whatever. I wouldn't be suprised if hear about Osborn working on an armor peice, then the explosion, then him changing the armor to fit him to hide himself. That is my prediction.

Welp, I just got one of those "photo-manipulation" programs. If I find time, I'll look for some pictures of raggy clothing(or something. I'll find something..), re-color them purple, & drape them over a pic of the GG suit. Then we can see if it'd look any better? But, I'll only do it if I have time, so BE PATIENT! :D

Nice. I think that could at least be part of it.

Hmmmm, all he needs is some purple and he would look pretty good. Love the Gobinwing though, I just need to see how it will be played out in the movie now.

That's a cool picture! 'Cept he doesn't look much like Green Goblin's comic book counter-part...oh well.
