For starters, I hope everybody had a great Holiday weekend.....
And now for my comments...
I just can't figure this one out, CARTOON NETWORK has shown some very rare PIC cartoons such as: "The Pygmy Hunt", "The Mighty Hunters", "Wanted No Master", "Two Little Indians" and several others.
But what I don't understand is that they can show these shorts (which has been excellent) during the late night viewing hours, and the upcoming TOON HEADS:THE WAR TIME CARTOONS , but CN can't show the "Censored Twelve BB cartoons"???????????
CN has stated that they don't show any more cartoons that features stereotypes of Native American Indians or African Americans, but this channel sure could have fooled me big time on this one...
Has anyone else thought of this situation?I sure would like to know...
P.S.
CARTOON NETWORK/TIME WARNER has every right to present (in it's entirety) the censored twelve cartoons at some point, if they can the titles I just mention...There's no reason they can't show the shorts.

I think it is extremely obvious by now, that the decision of pulling those 12 Bugs cartoons was more the decision of the bigshots at AOL Time-Warner than the folks at Cartoon Network.

CN can easily slip the shorts you mentioned (or any of the "Censored 12") into the compilation shows because AOL Time-Whatever does not know about it, I don't think they check. However, they were well aware of what cartoons would be shown on June Bugs. We would never see "The Pygmy Hunt" or "Two Little Indians" if AOL Time-Whatever knew all of the scheduling for "The Acme Hour", "Late Night Black And White", etc., beforehand.

Which is (let's hope) why they have not released a June Bugs schedule which they have always done in the past

Say what? CN actually said they don't show Native American stereotypes anymore? That's a lie. If anything, they show more of them. Two Little Indians, From A to ZZZZ, The Little Orphan, among others. Native Americans aren't really being cut from any cartoons. African Americans, on the other hand, couldn't be cut any more if Jason from Friday the 13th was an editor! I do like how other cartoons show black children, Hey Arnold!, an episode of the Powerpuff Girls, etc. Another thing. If they're cutting out all African Americans from cartoons, why is it that the opening scene to The Little Runaway is still intact? Isn't that a black guy sleeping?
Side Note--Has anyone ever noticed how almost every children's cereal commercial has a black kid in it? They try to play it like Captain Planet and include kids from different backgrounds. Sadly, Mati had the crappiest power of all. Heart. Phooey!
I'm watching an episode of I Love Lucy that has an Indian stereotype in it. Just thought you'd like to know.

Keen eyes you have there, ks.
10 years from now, every teeth-rotting cereal will have 10 kids in it at the same time in order to not offend anyone :D
Now, Caucaisians, African-Americans, Native Americans, Asians, Laplanders, Romanians, and Fillipinos can keep that Trix rabbit from having his cereal!
Wait...those commercials are racist to rabbits! That can't be tolerated because everyone in the world is supposed to love each other and be perfect! Remember, bad thoughs lead to a life of crime. :D
Polittical correctness needs to be saved for things other than the media. It's absurd to take this stuff so seriously! Why would people stop buying Bugs merch. because of those cartoons?
I'd personally like to have a t-shirt with Bugs in blackface from Any Bonds Today. MAMMY!

I'm with you on the t-shirt thing. Now, look. I've seen black Beavis and Butthead on a t-shirt, I've seen Looney Tunes characters wearing clothes the way urban black kids wear them on a shirt, all kinds of stuff. You know what I want? I want a shirt that has Bugs, Porky and Elmer Fudd all on their knees saying "Mammy!" You can't tell me that wouldn't sell!
