Which do you prefer, the books (manga) or the (anime) show??

The books, I find the tv series akward if not unbearable at times.

From what I've read of the manga so far, I'd have to say I like it a whole lot more than what I've seen of the anime. I was a bit disappointed in how the anime turned out, compared to the manga.
