They will probably touch on some kind of attraction between the two on the show but I wouldnt go as far as to say romance. In the comics Superman and Wonder Woman were attracted to each other at one time and have even kissed. Superman currently considers her to be his best friend. She once even offered Superman sex after they were away fighting a 1000 year war , but he declined sighting that Lois was the only one for him. Wonder Woman has also laid an innocent kiss on the old Dark Knight.

Well, if you were to read into the events of the pilot, I'd be inclined to say...
...oops, said too much. ;)

It could happen...especially if Lois Lane's a no show. Oh, and he did knock her up in Kingdom Come.

I always thought they would be good together. Although, it would really screw up the Superman continuity if Superman and Lois were not together.
I also think Wonder Woman cares more for him than the reverse. In one WW comic she creates a dream world where she and Supes were together.
It seems the writers of the comics seem to also want to put them together. Besides the suttle inuendo's and storylines. I have read a few Elseworlds books that put them together.

Wait a minute...Wonder Woman is just coming off of Paradise Island. She's an Amazonian warrior and has never lived with--let alone been romantically involved with--men.
;)
Gee, maybe we'll get a romantic relationship between Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl instead.

Though being around only one sex can somewhat...change your point of view, it ultimately has no baring on one's...preferences. I don't think Wondie will throw herself at Superman, but I'm pretty sure that we'll sense an attraction. It would certainly be difficult for Supes to explain why they can't be together because then it would put a timeline on Lois and Clark's relationship, tying up the writers and creating the sort of dreadful continuity traps that Dini always avoids. I know Lois and Clark get together, but looking at the JL Superman, he looks really old, and I don't think he would date anyone else but Lois, especially at that age.

Hey! That would make the character of Hawkgirl more interesting to watch!

hmmm, lesbianism was already done by the animated team (and very commendable for a saturday morning toon imo) with maggie saywer and her partner. but ww isnt a lesbian, i mean, alot of those amazons are, and correct me if i'm wrong cause i havent read too much ww, but wasnt hippolyta in a lesbian relatioship at one point, along w/ countless other ww characters?? but diana isnt, i think.
yeah, i like clark and lois together, especially after theyre big smooch at the end of legacy. that scene on top of the daily planet was the PERFECT way to end the series, imo, absolutely perfect.
i'd like to see flash and hawkgirl hook up. how olds hawkgirl anyway, young right. yeah, thatd be cool.
plus superman does look way too old, from the pics i saw. i'll wait till i see it to judge, but he just looks too old. and if diana is coming right off of the island, then she'd be young herself, and superman would be alittle too old for her. but i guess just because supes looks alittle older doesnt mean he's supose to be much older, just alittle older from stas. i mean in stas, he was coming right out of smallville, so he was pretty young himself.

Since I never saw much of S:TAS, I never knew Maggie Sawyer had some kind of possible relationship with a female cop. What happened? Plus the whole idea of the Amazon's being lesbians just doesn't work for me. Can't they just be cellibate? It's like saying that Bruce Wayne has a thing for the boys he adopts. Come on guys....

well whats the big deal, its only being realistic. i mean, a whole island full of scantally clad women, your telling me they're all going to be celebate?? but im not just speculating, i believe there were ww characters, including hippolyta, whove had lesbian relationships in the comics, but someone correct me if i'm wrong, because my ww knowledge is limited.
and yeah, in the comics maggie saywer is a lesbian, so in apokolips...now!, when she is hospitalized, in the hospital room her girlfriend is in there w/ her through the whole show, holding her hand.
and the real amazons from greek history were actually mostly lesbians, so it makes sense that the ww comic writers would borrow alittle from actual history, since ww is so based in greek mythology. i just dont see why its a big deal, people need to get over their homophobia, imo. disneyboy, i dont think youd have a problem if the amazons were in straight relationships, so whats the big deal if theres a lesbian on that island here and there?? humans are humans, and hate to break the news to ya, but some humans are even gay! ohhh. it makes me enjoy ww no less.
oh, and how can you even say, even if your not serious, such a thing about old brucie??? thats just wrong. peace.

It never occured to me that Maggie Sawyer was a lesbian. I just though it was her sister or something. But I believe you. That's really interesting and something I never though of.

Also, weren't the Amazons in Wonder Woman's comic book the reincarnated souls of women who died at the hands of men? If that's the case I don't think that too many of them would be fans. I think that I'm within my rights to assume that a sizable amount (if not all) of the population are lesbian--especially since they're a xenophobic group that doesn't allow men to set foot on the island.
Yes, some of them could be celibate, but I doubt that a great many of them are.

--Bruce Wayne, it's been hinted, had a fling with Babs Gordon, who's ten or fifteen years his junior. Wondy could develop a schoolgirl crush on Superman, if there's that much of an age difference. Wouldn't be the first twenty-year-old lass lusting after a forty-something guy....

Back on up Mr. Powers! That wasn't at all how I feel or what I meant! Please don't jump to conclusions!
I have a pretty limited knowledge of WW as well (all I have are the first 12 George Perez issues of the 80's relaunch) and was unaware that Diana's Mom had in fact had a lesbionic relationship or even several. I was just commenting of the fact that from an outsider's point of view, it seemed as if everyone was jumping to conclusions about an island full of women. I have no problem with gay people or lesbians, I just disagree that a group of same gender people confined on an island must automatically be homosexuals. I was concerned that stereotypes were being made, that's all. I understand that all people are people! Thanks!
As for my comment about Bruce, I said that to make a point. You can't assume, which is what I assumed was going on. I understand that Bruce isn't that kind of guy, but it was interesting to see your reaction to that comment.
N-E-Ways, gotta go!

as for my comment about YOUR bruce comment, i said i knew you werent serious, i just didnt see any connection between comparing the fact that some of the amazons are lesbians to your annalogy of bruce and the kids he adopts. sorry, it just seemed like a very odd thing to throw into the conversation.
i suppose i misunderstood what you said. you said "the whole idea of the amazons being lesbians just doesnt work for me. couldnt they just be celebate?" i took that as you disliking the idea of the amazons being lesbians so much that youd rather see the comic writers resort to the ubsurd idea that the whole society of amazons would all be celebate, which, imo, is alittle unrealistic, even for a comic book. but i guess i can see how you could have meant it another way.
anyway, does anyone know for sure about the amazons? i can say i'm pretty sure that a bunch are lesbians and believe in an issue it said hippolyta has had a lesbian relationship. anyone know for sure, i mean, after all this i guess it would be nice to know if its defiantely the way things are on old paradise island. thanks for any info. peace.

I don't know about the Wonder Woman comic, but in Greek mythology the Amazon warriors hated men. They would occasionally meet with some (or maybe abduct them) and mate with them in order to breed, but they would otherwise kill them. By the way, they would keep the female babies and either kill the male ones or give them back to the fathers (I think I've heard it go both ways).
They very well could be celibate, but I find it ludicrous that an entire civilazation would choose to be. Goddesses such as Athena and Diana were reported to be celibate according to Greek myth, but I can't help but wonder exactly how accurate they were (myths never stay exactly the same way they were concieved).
