Melissa Gilbert elected SAG prez

Melissa Gilbert, best known popularly as Laura Ingalls Wilder of TV's "Little House on the Prarie" but in these precincts as Barbara Gordon on "Batman: The Animated Series," has been elected president of the Screen Actors Guild. She defeated Valerie Harper, star of "Rhoda" and "Valerie."
