Recently, when I signout of TZ, I get a message stating that there was an error logging off and to click a certain link. I do and it says my cookies have been clear. But then when I go back into the forums to make sure I have been logged off, I am still listed as being on TZ in whatever forum I go. I don't appear logged in where it gives that "Welcome, ________" message. That space has the form fields to log in.

I was wondering if there's anyway to get rid of that bug? I use TZ on public computers and don't want someone to end up hijacking my username.

Thanks.

You may totally need to eradicate the cookie from the IE settings. If that still doesn't work, it may just be the forum playing "catch-up" and not removing you from viewing the forum. Although if it still shows you viewing each forum you check, after you've logged out...

The real test would be to try and post after logging out. If you can't post, then there's nothing to worry about.

I checked back on this after a while. It seems I am only in the Cafe and in this forum when logged off. I tried to post and couldn't. So, I guess that means there is nothing to worry about.

How would I delete the cookie manually?

With Internet Explorer. Go to the menu bar, select "Tools". Next select "Internet Options..." from the drop down menu. Under the "General" tab, look for the section that reads "temporary internet files". Hit the button that reads "delete cookies" and *bam* cookies go bye bye.

Alternate way to delete cookies if you have XP.

Click on your main drive (most likely C). Locate "Documents and Settings" folder and click on that. Then find the folder with the user name you are using to log into WinXp and double click that folder. There should be a cookies folder that appears, click it. Now you see all them yummy cookies, so select them all except for "index.dat" file and delete em.

I hope that helps.

Thanks a lot, Sampo! It worked! :) I tried the internet explorer way. Going into XP and messing around always freaks me.

Heehe, I ate an entire sleeve of fudge cookies. What? ;)
