I have seen Rollins do his act many, many times. Always incredibly funny. And I have all of his CDs. Hoestly, none of his CDs do his act justice - he's much funnier in person, partially because a lot of the things he does depends on physical humor - the faces he makes, the way he acts out the things he's tlaking about, etc. My best suggestion is to check out the 2 DVD set that was recently released. Its still not as good as seeing him in person, but its got a lot of good stuff on it. You can get the DVD set from his website at:

www.two1361.com

or you can find them available at some online places.

Absolutely. His CDs are indeed funny - but seeing him in person or on tape, he's even funnier!

His other two really funny CDs are "Think Tank" and "Eric the Pilot". I really like "Eric the Pilot" because I got to hear the very first telling of it ever. Its the story of how he had a harrowing experience trying to get from one show to the next. Turns out the show he was trying to get to was a show I saw! He walked in over an hour late, and proceeded to tell us the story that had just happened to him, and now its immortalized on CD! Very cool.

i saw his stand up on comedy centrall. it was on a 2 or 3 and the mourning, because hes comedy is colorful to put it mildly. but it was hesterical. the way he holds the make and the way he carry his self just adds to the humor. one of the funnier parts of his stand up(that i saw) was about the tie sex show.....i'll leave it at that. but he is a very good comedian

Yeah, he has a more....colorful... version of that story that he tells normally. Incredibly funny stuff.

speaking of ol' henry, who likes black flag? now theres a good punk band that never got mentoinded back on the punk music thread that lasted a while. i think black flag is one of the better if not best punk bands out there. and henry gets around to, he was in rotj as bonk. thats cool, henry rollins in batman.

Black Flag friggin' rocks! Actually, I love all the music Henry's been involved with - his Black Flag stuff, his Rollins Band stuff, etc.

And yeah, the man is getting quite an acting resume built up - he's been in quite few movies - unfortunately usually as minor background characters. He did star in one movie, but it seems to have disappeared off the radar - as far as I know, its never been released. Its a shame too - i would have loved to have seen it. But so far his shining role has to be the cop from "The Chase" - he was just too funny in that movie. And of course, his other great role - Mad Stan! Woo-hoo!

Only secondary or minor movie roles?

No VHS of his stand up? Only audio CDs?

There's only one sane sollution man!! BLOW IT UP!!!!

This guy is absolutely crazy. I love everything he does (acting comedy music) but the crazy part is that he does everything! I'd love to have any if not all of his stand up on DVD. If not, I could always blow up my DVD player in protest, I suppose.

Actually, you can indeed get some of his stand up on DVD. He just released a 2 DVD set. Its sort of short (only an hour per DVD I think), but they've got some great stuff on them.
