I know I just posted a thread like this in the Disney forum, it was so sucsessful I thought I'd post this one. Ideas for Fridays:

Vegi Tales
3-2-1 Penguins
Larry Boy
Teen Titans (it airs enough as it is, but it would fit)
Animaniacs (I think it may be on Nicktoons TV)
Funky Cops
Ozzy and Drix
Hanna-Barbarra Cartoons (we need some)
Cow and Chicken
Sheep in the Big City
I M Weasel
Mike, Lu, and Og
Life and Times of Juniper Lee (may be coming)
Atomic Betty (ditto)
Time Squad
What a Cartoon Show

Warner Bros. releases for Big Idea, so they may have airing rights. They could air the ones that are on video or have Big Idea make new ones. It will be really good to have some Christain things air on CN. The Big Idea ones, Funky Cops, and Ozzy and Drix are the only ones I really can see airing there.

Either the shows are already coming, or they've had runs on CCF, or you've just gone plum crazy.

5 points for trying to find some shows that could be on Fridays

-20 points for picking either shows that have been canceled, are obviously coming, or have no chance of appearing on CN.

No offense Donald, but your lineup of possible shows is a bit off.

Funky Cops should be on Miguzi. That would rock!

Fridays shows...

Maybe Xiaolin Showdown but I assue that'd be on Miguzi.

I really don't have many ideas on this front. Any comedy originals for general CN will end up on CNF and some acquisitions... but KWB hasn't been focusing much on comedy these days...

The only shows on that list that would be on Fridays would be the old Cartoons Cartoons. But they don't have a chance since they have been cancelled for a long time. That would be sweet for Funky Cops, Xaolin Showdown and maybe Martin Mystery to be on Miguzi.

I agree. I can see Vegi Tales, Ozzy and Drix, and Funky Cops on Fridays. Fridays is the new show place, so ya, my schedule is way off. 3-2-1 and Larry Boy could air on Sunday mornings. Funky Cops on Miguzi? It is more of a Cartoon Cartoon. Miguzi is an action block, bring things that are some action (PPG, Dexter's Lab, and Funky Cops) might pass briefly, but you don't want an action block becoming another place to air CCs. And Teen Titans would fit on Fridays, but it would be overkill. So the Big Ideas, Funky Cops, and Ozzy and Drix could and should air, I have no idea where I was going with the rest.

I agree Donald. You don't want too many Cartoon Cartoons on Miguzi, it wouldn't be the same. I can also see Ozzy and Drix and Funky Cops on Fridays, but not Veggitales (maybe as one of those shorts in the middle of a host segment, though). Teen Titans should stay where it is on Toonami and Miguzi and not even try Fridays. A action show on a comedy block dosen't fit.

Veggietales is way to kiddie, if it goes anywhere it will be the early moring times. Besides they don't even own Veggietales and there are better programs that they could buy.

Mabye, but there should be atleast one Christain show. I feel strongly that there needs to be some shows that is okay for everyone and everyone can enjoy (if they try). God should have a spot everywhere.

If Cartoon Network put up a Christian show, they'd have to put up a Jewish show, and a Buddhist show, and an Islamic show, and a Catholic show... Not happening.

The only shows coming to Fridays currently are Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Atomic Betty.

What about the Live and Times Of Jupiter Lee? (coming 2005 I believe). Or is that just going to Miguizi or CN Primetime (I know that PuffAmiYumi's show is going to one of those two choices).

First of all Catholic is Christain. And the network can do as they please. They show Satanic stuff and make fun of other religions on shows like Family Guy, so I think there should be.

The public schools are the only ones that have to balance out religions. And they don't do a great job at it. In Geography we spent two weeks on Islam, one day on Judism, and all we learned about Christianity was that it was the third major religion that came out of the Middle East. Tell me if you want to hear more.

I could see any Kids WB show that isn't Anime as a Fridays show including: Jackie Chan Adventures, Xialoin Showdown, Static Shock, Ozzy & Drix, What's New Scooby-Doo (hey it's first season aired here and it's second is on the way), etc.

Adult Swim is allowed to be intolerant. The rest of the network is not.

Also Catholicism has major differences, theologically and idiotlogically, from Christianity.

I'm not going to explain why a bulk of those shows won't make it to "Fridays" but I will tell you that about half of them are not going to bring in enough viewers, due to demographics, and content. As mentioned, "Veggie Tales" is a Christian themed show. Cartoon Network has a strict policy against anything in its programs that involve religion or faith. This is part of their standards and pratices and has been in place since 1992. Its the same reason they didn't call "The Red Guy" from Cow & Chicken and "Him" from Powerpuff Girls names like devil, demon, or Satan.

While I think some classics would play well for more of a mixed crowd, not all classics bring in much children viewers. Plus the intent of Fridays has never been about classic animation.....its always been about showcasing NEW stuff, from day one!

The second half of Fridays is the basically the same as the first half, so the schedule could go like:

6:00 Vegi Tales (I am sticking strongly to my beliefs)
6:30 Codename: KND
7:00 Foster Home for Imaginary Friends
7:30 What's New Scooby Doo
8:00 Funky Cops
8:30 PPG
9:00 Atomic Betty
9:30 Johnny Bravo
10:00 Muncha Luncha
10:30 Duck Dodgers
11:00 Ozzy and Drix
11:30 Ed, Edd, and Eddy

But this thread was doomed from the start. So if you have a comment against it, please consider your words carfully. I still think a Christain cartoon has a place (3-2-1 and Larry Boy would air on Sundays).

It has already been said that Veggie Tales will not air so try to stick to the realm of possibility. Whats more is that your are wrong about is that a cartoon should be picked up because of its Christianness, it should be based on its quality. (I.E. Veggie Tales should be gotten because it is good, not because it is Christian. Also I don't think Veggie Tales is very good)

True, so mabye not Vegi Tales (although I like it) but mabye something else.

I just have big doubts about Veggitales ever coming to CN. I agree with Happy, they should pick up Veggitales not because of it's religion, but because of it's quality.

Sorry to get off topic here but Catholicism is considered Christian. Chirstianity is a blanket term referring to any religion that believes Jesus Christ was the Messiah. There are major ideological differences between the Anglican Church and Calvinism but they're both considered Christian.

As for Veggietales, I agree that CN should steer clear of it. Perhaps it could air on America's equivelent of Vision Tv.

None of those shows would fit for their own reasons.

Yeah.

Plus, I don't think Mike and Phil are ready to have it on TV.
