View Full Version : Should we have a seperate board for animation.

I know this is also a general topics board but I'm just wondering whether anyone here thinks that we should seperate the two. Anyone?

This site has plenty of animation boards, dedicated to CCF programming, KWB programming - heck - just about everything! An animation board won't be added becuase this is the animation board. Yes - we do share Animation and General topics but that is just how it is. Sorry. There are no plans to add an animation board. if ya don't like this board then go to http://forums.toonzone.net and check out all the variety you have to post on.

I personally think this board is ideal the way it is. Off topic posts are not as welcome on some of the other boards, but here they are welcome. I think we have it pretty darn good here, and I'd hate to see that changed.

Yeah, I like this board the way it is. You can talk about things besides animation, but if you have just a general topic about animation, you know you can use this board for that too. I think it works really well.

It was an idea that got kicked around behind the scenes not too long ago, but the consensus was that this board's personality is woven up in the fact that it is basically an all-topics board, and breaking it into an "animation" and an "off-topics" would change the dynamics too much. Plus it would have to be part of a much larger Toon Zone reorganization that no one was really in favor of.

This board is fine. There are already too many sub-boards here, in my opinion. A board with a lot of traffic is better than a wasted separate board with one or two posts a day.

Not to mention we'd have to change the names of the boards all over again (just as I was getting used to "AniGen")... in short, I agree that splitting this board in two would probably be more trouble than it's worth.

we can't change now! i'd be confused all over again! I'm just getting used to where everything is! RPG and fanfics are down at the bottom and so forth and so on! we can't change NOW!!! (besides... AniGen is just such a spiffy name!)
