Its not really earth-shaking, but I figured some may want to know. When checking www.horrorhosts.com (http://www.horrorhosts.com/) for updates, it turns out Dennis, former producer of Family Guy (is he coming back for the new episodes?) is helping a Wally Wingert develop his own horror host show.
The website will explain it, but basically a horror host as they are generally called since most use a serious or normally mock horror motif, is basically one of those persons who would show up before, between commercials, and after a movie, talking about it and normally getting into crazy antics. There are still some cable channles and local stations that have hosts, and many do it just for fun on public access and a few REALLY good ones make enough GOOD episodes and manage to syndicate them to a few channels and get some small pocket change.
Joe Bob Briggs from Monstervision on TNT awhile back was a non-horror motif host, and this was the genre Mystery Science Theater 3000 developed out of with other influences.
