Mad Hatter's review was much more uplifting that DG's. I have new hope again in JL pilot. What is everyone else's impressions so far???

Someone read my work! Yay! Anybody got any questions/challenges for me? Come on, I dares ya!
Anyway, it seems that DG liked the pilot about as much as I did, he just spent more time being a bit critical. From the staff reviews I've read so far it seems that nobody really dislikes it, though some have more reservations than others. At any rate, you'll get to hear a ton of opinions soon!

Thanks for the review, Hatter! It was a heckuva read, well-organized, and I appreciated the individual character studies. Thanks again!

Hatter described batman as lighter than TNBA but darker than BTAS. i thought BTAS was darker than TNBA.

i think hes talking about batman's actual character, not the show. yeah, btas was alot darker in animation and theme than tnba, but batman/bruce in tnba reached a new level of grimm-ness that btas batman never did. i guess that he needed to be lighten up a bit given the show's themes, characters, and circumstances. peace.

Well you know how in BB Bruce is a little nicer, cracks a joke or two once in awhile, JL may lead up to that or something.

Well, the TNBA Batman occasionally cracked a joke or two: remember his reaction to Joker's apparent "death" in the flying wing explosion in World's Finest?
Harley: Puddin'!
Batman: At this point, he probably is.
Batman gets in a comment in the pilot that's grimly funny... trust me, you'll know it when you see it. ;)
Glad you liked the review... check out Vince's! And keep looking for new ones, every day for two weeks!

Batman's always been known to have a witty side. I hate to turn this into a "Batman's Witty Lines" thread, but I had to point this out:
Robin: "Which way did he go?"
BOOOOOMMM!
Batman: "That way."

Batman gets some great lines in the JL pilot. I'm sure we'll see many more of these throughout the show. Batman is stil dark in the show, but just not as darklike in TNBA.

Agreed. And if you like opinions, my review will probably be up within a few days. I send it and a zip file of some of the screen shots I took earlier. So I hope you'll like it! :)
