At the end of the commercial it talks about a contest where you can be in the next Batman movie. I didn't think any Bat movies had the greenlight, but if there's such a contest they must be making a new one. Maybe Year One?

This contest was announced a few weeks back. I wonder if this will actually help get the movie made. I mean...how long has this movie been in the works. I remember when it was scheduled for summer 2001...

Oh, so it's the same movie they've been talking about for the last year or so. Surely, if they're running a contest they're really gonna do it. Kinda seems like they could get in legal trouble otherwise.

We should send them a copy of the rules.

I say that's as about as an official announcement as we need! I think they are feeling the need to get Batman back on the silver screen now that Spider Man is getting so much attention.

The rules actually state: "In the event that the next Batman film is not in production prior to 12/31/03, the walk-on part of the Grand Prize will not be fulfilled." :( I think they'd still get the trip to LA, and there's some cool 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes available.

:snort: A cheap kind of prize. Why don't they just offer a round-trip ticket to Atlantis (small print: "in the event that Atlantis has not risen from the sea prior to 12/31/03, the Grand Prize will not be honored")?
