I just recently read this article:
http://www.gopusa.com/commentary/lsarrach/2004/ls_0608.shtml
I'm too tired to comment on it now, but I wanted to throw it out there before I forget. I'll express my opinions tomorrow.

They're some sharp tacks to unearth the revelation that a show entitled Crossballs is not a forum for serious debate.

.. here we go, just one more thing for these people to complain about... it's ENTERTAINMENT. nobody really cares what a conservative has to say anyway.. :D
"The Hollywood Left is apparently so angry, so hateful and so committed to foisting their political views on the American public, that they are ignoring these people in America" -
• the people who just spent $109 million in 5 days to go see "Shrek 2"
is there something wrong with ignoring idiots?
"Parents of America - it's time we fight back against the people who aim to lower us all to their common denominator, to the continuing moral decay of our children, and to the brain washing of a public - all for the blessed buck.."
hmm... I guess she forgot America is a capitalist country? and besides, the "moral decay" of children is a completely different topic. I think she just had a temper tantrum and turned it into an article. This sounds more like a hate letter directed at MTV and VIACOM than a convincing argument.

Yeah, Crossballs is a pretty bad show, but overreact much? A vast left-wing conspiracy? Is she serious?
And always look out for the upstanding citizens who actually paid money to see Shrek 2.
First, was this woman high or had a large tree up her butt? Sure, she got duped into thinking that Viacom was producing a legit debating show and not "Crossballs." Let's remember the press release that got her on "Crossballs."
It did say that "The Debate Show" was from MTV Networks.
What she thought: "Hey, this could be my chance to spread the cause to the youth of America on MTV."
What I thought: "This could be on TV Land with ALF as the host."
MTV Networks represents ALL non-premium cable channels owned by Viacom, and not just MTV. "The Debate Show" could have been on Spike TV with strippers and hosted by Kenny Blankenshic (sp?) and Vic Romero. If "The Debate Show" was from MTV Networks AND CBS News, and you got sent to "Crossballs," then yeah, you should be pissed. Instead, to quote George Lowe, you got "Boned By The Master." So, shut up and eat your cheese sandwich. :frylock:
And, oh yeah, people driving in droves to the Fox News Channel is not important anymore. People driving in droves to MSNBC for something other than the Olympics, like watching Countdown instead of the O' Riley Factor, is.

Crossballs a bad show? The marijuana episode that aired last week was the funniest half hour of television I've seen in months, I couldn't stop laughing. Definitely better than the show it was replacing, Tough Crowd.
Expert:"You're a Jeopardy to society!"
Comedian:"Yeah, well you're a wheel of fortune to society!"
You know, actually, I don't see why the experts are pissed? I mean, next to the insanity of the fake experts the real experts usually end up looking good. I mean, it's not like any one would agree with the fake experts point of view, so the real experts views sound pretty good by comparison. I mean, the real expert on the reality TV episode who complained about scripted shows getting shafted by reality TV seemed even more intelligent when being put across from a fake expert who says The Real Cancun is the best film of the year.
The only time the real experts look stupid is when they ARE stupid. Like, on the marijuana episode, that one old lady sounded like a stupid *****, but that's because she was a stupid *****. She sounded like a stupid ***** before the fake expert even opened his mouth. If the experts on this show look stupid it's because they are stupid.

Definitely better than the show it was replacing, Tough Crowd.Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Tough Crowd will be back Monday the 19th. Meaning I get my Jim Norton fix and Crossballs is only on at 7:30, or whenever it is.
