Here are the segments that will appea rin this years TREEHOUS EOF HORROR, which is pray will be better than the last 2 or 3.

In "House of Whacks"; the fright-fest begins when Marge orders the UltraHouse 3000, a futuristic home, fully equipped and computer activated to take care of every chore. Voiced by guest star Pierce Brosnan, the "smart house" computer quickly falls head over heels for Marge and executes an evil scheme to kill Homer.

In "Hex And The City", Homer is cursed by a tarot card-reading gypsy so that he will bring bad luck to everyone he loves. Soon Marge finds herself covered in hair (a la "cousin Itt"), Lisa transforms into a centaur, Bart's neck elongates and Maggie turns half-ladybug, half-infant. To combat this wicked hex, Homer recruits the help of a leprechaun to change his luck. However, the leprechaun falls in love and find his new lady luck...the gypsy.

"Wiz Kids" finds Bart and Lisa attending Springwarts School of Magicry. Bart, competing to be a better wizard than his sister, teams up with the wicked Lord Montymort (Mr. Burns) and his sidekick Slithers (Smithers) to foil her magic in the school talent show. When Bart discovers that the Lord's real plan to steal Lisa's magical essence, he and Lisa join forces to defeat the evil duo.

--"House of Whacks" is reminiscent of the Daffy short where he tried to sell Elmer the smart home of the future ("Not the wed one! Don't ever push the wed one!")...and that last act is very Harry Potter ("He's rather disagreeable, isn't he?"). Still, I'm curious....

I dunno, could be fun.

Any idea when it's running? I've noticed that the ever-lovin' Fox didn't air the Dark Angel Halloween ep on Halloween, either.

It's due to the world series...like last year. I know it's a bad sign when a ToH eppy starts of the season, but airing it AFTER Halloween is even worse...

...and the "WIZ KIDS" segment sounds the best. Can't wait to see it...

I think I'll watch for the "WIZ Kids" segment too. The others don't really sound as good.

That's a Harry Potter ref, all right. The chief villain in HP is Lord Voldemort.

Speaking of which: I have every intention of watching the Harry Potter movie when it comes out. Tho I'm planning to see "Monsters, Inc.' first.

The episode will air Tuesday at 8pm (ET). Also, at 9pm is the premiere of FOX's 24. I can't wait for that show...

This year's special sounds fairly interesting, as long as it doesn't turn into the unfunny quagmire that was last year's special.

To me, that first story sounds like "Demon Seed". I've never seen the film, but the premise was intriguing. The 1977 film starred Fritz Weaver as an inventor, IIRC, who creates a computer (voiced by Robert Vaughn) that wishes to conceive a child with the inventor's wife (Julie Christie). Weird, to say the very least.

The Daffy story was Robert McKimsons Designs For Leaving (I THINK that was the title). The last one is definetely based on harry potter :)

The last two Treehouse Of terrors were icky ^^

For the record, House of Whacks is a parody of Smart House, an incredibly lame Disney Movie about a family that wins a computer-driven house that thinks it tries to kill the father's girlfriend because it loves the father and wants to be the mother.

I'll watch that segment at least.

Outside of Adult Swim, you usually don't see much quality programming in a bunch

8:00 That 70's Show
8:30 Simpsons Tree House of Horror
9:00 Smallville or 24
