OK, I'm really ignorant of the comics and stuff. Some people are making quite a deal about the appearance of Snapper Carr in JL. So, who is he?

Perhaps the most irritating character in the history of comics. He was the Justice League's mascot and introduced in 'Brave and the Bold' #28, the first appearance of the JL.

"You see these fingers snapping, Flash? That's my way of showing something I like! That's why all the cats around here call me Snapper!"

I can't believe you found that quote, Adam! I remember reading that in a reprint issue! He was a very annoying sidekick, and thankfully they have done away with that on JL. He was also in short lived STARS AND S.T.R.I.P.E.S. series and I think currently appears in JSA. Thankfully, he's grown up now.

Actually, he was a supporting character in the short-lived HOURMAN series. He hasn't shown up in JSA yet, though.

Does anyone remember his stint with the awful super-hero group The Blasters? He gained some kind of super powers after the INVASION mini-series that were activated when he snapped his fingers, of course. (shudders)

Technically, he hasn't yet. But he's in the JL cartoon, as a news reporter. Thankfully his snapping schtick is gone.

I for one couldn't stand Snapper Carr in the old comics...he's too much like Marvin, Wendy and Wonder Dog. I hope his appearance on the new Justice League animated series will be an evolution of his character...cause in the comics...he stunk.
