Was there ever REALLY a scene with Steppin' Fetchit in it? My copy of the Disney tape Limited Gold Edition: Donald doesn't have the scene in it. I read on the message board that it had this scene in it. Could someone be thinking of a different cartoon?

I think a caricature of Steppin' Fetchit appears in "Mother Goose Goes Hollywood" (1938), which, like "Autograph Hound", is a Disney cartoon featuring caricatures of many then-current famous stars. The person may have been confusing the two cartoons.

Stepin Fetchit is, indeed, in THE AUTOGRAPH HOUND. He appears right towards the end, in the sequence where various film stars drop what they're doing and shout Donald's name ("Donald Duck? Donald Duck! Where's Donald? Donald Duck?" and so on).
Fetchit is only on screen for about a second. The uncut version aired (without opening or end titles, but otherwise complete) on TDC's "Donald Duck Presents" half-hour in the 1980s.
I didn't know the Gold Edition edited the sequence! The Donald tape in that series is one I've never come across.

I guess it is edited. I just checked it in slow motion and he's no where to be seen...:(
