I'm surprised that no one has posted a topic for this.

Anywho, good ep. I haven't seen SG1 in a while, but they did a great job of recaping. Baal seems to be the new Gou'ld(sp?) badarse of this season with Anubis gone. And now the Human replicators are back, with Fifth being really hung up on Carter..so much so that he created a Replicator clone of her.

I'm definately keeping tabs on this season as well as atlantis. My only gripe is O'Niel is now a desk jocky(being the new head of SGC and all)

I yeah I have been watching for awhile since the first one on showtime and it is a great show. There is just one thing wierd about this one. The Replacators should have mastered the time device and they didnt. They got really lucky because if they mastered time it would be all over for everyone.

It was a good start for the final season. The replicators are back and just utterly destroyed the Asgards planet once again. Once again SG-1 rides in and saves the day be it with help from the Ancients but now theres a replicator version of Carter out there which definatly will be interesting to see as season goes by.

We also get a Gou'ld System Lord to turn traitor and join us. Which should mean we get alot more technology to screw around w/ this season.

BTW anyone catch the preview for Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars? Looks like it'll start in October. I cant wait.

I wouldnt trust that traitor! It could be a trap to see what that weapon is.

It was a good episode. O'Niel's "WHO'S YOUR DADDY!!" line was great(c'mon, we were all thinking it). I probably would have liked this episode more if I had seen the episode where the human form replicators first appeared(go figure, I've seen every episode except that one). I love it when a series goes through huge changes like this. O'Niel, a General? Didn't see that one coming. Good to see he's taking the place of Dr. Weir, someone I didn't like at all.

Speaking of Dr. Wier, what happened to the actress that originaly played her? I like the current one better.

My only gripe is O'Niel is now a desk jocky(being the new head of SGC and all)
I wouldn't worry. Judgeing from the next episode preview, it looks like they'll be finding ways to get him in on the action.

Yeah, I know(I saw her in the Atlantis commercials). My main gripe was with her taking the place of Hammond. Speaking of Atlantis, I know I'm making premature assumptions, but....the characters just don't seem like they'll be near as good as SG-1's. But, I'm probably wrong. We'll see.

Forgot to mention something I didn't like about this episode. The return of that Pete guy. He reminds me of my least favorite SG-1 episode.

i agree im a little iffy about the atlantis cast, especially Cree summer's brother. lol but i think they'll be fine. as long as the stories are good

only eight??? they ought to do about 3 more of them.. that series is a very good one, stargate.. far outsurpassing the movie it's based on in stories and special effects and the 'human drama' of warfare competition...

.. heh, 'human drama'. niice.

i'll have to remember that one.

All around, great episode; Asgard, the Fifth, Gu'aold, return of Jack and Sam getting tortured for once (you all know the guys have taken beatings over the years). I was happy that they mentioned the Gu'auld heirarchy, 12, so that means 5 new ones might appear this season, we saw Camulus and Amaterasu with I know, one more appearing in an episode with a returning cast member.

Yeah, I'll give Atlantis a shot. The only change is the actors so time will tell. I forgot to post this earlier but who else got a good laugh from the wig, Amanda Tapping wore during her Montana illusion?

the replicator "First" is so awesome. I hope he comes back a lot this season. They just re-aired the episode where he was introduced here and it was as good this time as last.

We have seen her in that wig before. It was when the other one came from the Dementional mirror.

The wig must be a running gig. If anyone is interested Another Goa'uld has been named Ares Maybe, hair is a running gag, I mean Teal'c has grown hair and all. I honestly had the impression that the Replicators were going to be eliminated in the premire, I but I guess this is better, since we probably get to see Thor again later on in the season.

I liked the scene where Jack was in the ship's computer and was having fun switching the lights on and off, and then when he came out his first two questions were "Teel'c, what's with the hair?" and "Teel'c, what's with the hair?"

Speaking of which, I dunno if I like him with hair, I'm so used to him being bald. At least it's better than his gotee...

Yeah I liked that part too but I pictured him popping them from here to there.:)
