SPOILERS!

Darkseid apparently has Lex Luthor form the Secret Society of Super-Villains. According to speculation, Luthor orriginally forms to Injustice Gang, and when that fails Darkseid has him form the Secret Soceity with a different line-up. This would work since we've seen two different Luthor suits (Super Powers and Super Friends).

Then in season two, we might see a full Darkseid story, with an invasion and everything (New Gods anyone?). That's all I've heard, both in truth and speculation.

Comments I forgot to include (MORE SPOILERS!):

I'm really looking forward to seeing Darkseid work through Luthor. We saw Lex's interest in working with him in "Apokolips...Now!" Well, it was slight, but cool nonetheless. This is one of the moments I'm anticipating the most in JL.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS....

first of all, as far as i know, the whole thing about the secret society being darkseid's second stabe at luthors failed injustice gang is COMPLETE SPECULATION, well, as far as i know. i have yet to see anything official on that, but for some reason a lot of people speak of it as though it is fact, when it is not.

it is just some people's way of explaining the contradicting info we've been seeing, ie, first timm at comic conn said luthor forms the injustice gang and joker's in it. no word of poison ivy. then we read the cartoon network release that says darkseid forms the "secret society" w/ a line up similar to timm's explaination of luthors injustice gang, except....joker wasnt on the list and ivy was. so, a few people came up w/ some well thought out explainations that are listed in the above posts, but still, it is pure speculation (unless theres been an official word that i didnt see, but i doubt it).

i personally think it may be a big mix up of sorts coming from CN, because there was other things on in the info they released that contradicted w/ some previous things we've heard. i guess we'll wait and see....

Sorry if I didn't make that clear. The only thing we know for sure from CB's releases is that Darkseid will have Luthor form the Secret Society. Everything else I posted was complete speculation.

You know, I think that this is what the creators and Cartoon Network want. They want us to be a little confused so the events in the episode will be a surprise later.

I kinda saw that as more like Lex being pissed because here comes another alien stealing his thunder.

That's possible. But he didn't grimace once, didn't give any sign that he was ticked. I think he saw it as a new goal. To achieve that kind of power. Either way, it'll be interesting. Well, as long as Lex isn't so insane he doesn't remember.

I agree. Luthor's too smart to believe that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" in that episode. Especially after his previous encounters with Brainiac.

And I don't care how "crazy" they say Luthor has become--he has to have some sort of ulterior motive or backup plan up his sleeve in order to even think about working with Darkseid...he's not stupid. He's a super-intelligent and highly motivated individual...sort of like an evil Bruce Wayne.

Luthor is a kinda an evil Bruce Wayne. He has a vast corporation. And lots of connections. And lots of cool "toys"

Who knows? Maybe Luthor will team up with Darkseid on a future episode, but they better make Micheal Ironside talk for him again, if they don't, I'll be dissapointed.
