After years of the subpar "Adventure Of Sonic The Hedgehog" series and the dissapointing "Sonic Underground" series created by DiC Animation - the often remembered Sonic The Hedgehog SatAM will finally see the light of day in DVD form.

For those that do not remember - Sonic The Hedgehog (or as its called by Sonic fans - SatAM) aired in America on ABC Saturday mornings in 1993 back to back with Reboot. This is also the same series that the now over 100 issue comic book by Archie is loosely based on featuring the side characters of Princess Sally, Tails The Fox and the Freedom Fighters.
The 26 episode series ended on a cliffhanger called "The Doomsday Project" in which Dr. Robotnik was seemingly "killed" at the very end of the series and his nephew Snively and a pair of red eyes were poised to take over Mobius. A third season was planned, but never came to fruition after the ABC cancellations.
Four episodes of the SatAM series - Sonic Racer, Sonic Boom, Super Sonic and Sonic & Sally - will be released on video and DVD in roughly February 2002. Two VHS tapes with 2 episodes per tape, and one DVD with the same 4 episodes. These episodes have been released before way back in 1994, BUT The fact that they will be on DVD will make a lot of other folks I know extremely happy. That is all the information released at this time. Dic has said that if the DVD sells well enough, they will POSSIBLY continue to release the remainder of the 26 episode series on DVD.
