I LOVE THIS TOPIC!!!
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
beauty and the beast-the song is really soulful and beautifully written.
LITTLE MERMAID
Part of your world- It's ariel's sweet innocent voice and the emotions that we can feel through her singing.
Under the sea-I got memories linked with this one.My best friend and I as kids, would sing this while swimming all the time...
Kiss the girl- I adore sebastian's accent.
ALADDIN
A whole new world- I guess it's really energetic the words kinda flow around.
Prince Ali- I used to sing along to it all the time.Really fun.
LION KING 1 AND 2
Circle of life-Truely meaningful and well written
We are one- Has a really true message that everyone should listen to.Seriously.
I just can't wait to be king- It's the kinda song you can hum all day long.
Be Prepared- Truley the best song in the LK soundtrack. The singer's smooth husky voice...
Hakuna Matata- well HAKUNA MATATA!!!
HERCULES
I won't say I'm in love- I really liked this song, for a very long time.Love Meg's voice.
TARZAN
2 worlds one family- Picturesque lyrics , well written and the impact of the song was great with the opening sequence of the movie.
Son of Man- Hummable.
Stranger's Like me- I love the video.
MULAN
Reflection- A very, beautiful song of self searching.
I'll make a man out of you- I think the song was fun...
A girl worth fighting for-I absolutely love this lil silly song. The humorous lyrics, the accents it all adds up and wow! my fav bit is:
"I'VE GOT A GIRL BACK HOME WHO'S UNLIKE ANY OTHER.
YEAH THE ONLY GIRL WHO'D LOVE HIM IS HIS MOTHER!"
TREASURE PLANET
I'm still here- Really, reallly well thought and...briliant!
my favorite bit is "I am a question to the world, not an answer to be heard."
well i guess that's it.My God disney did have it's fair share of amazing songs!

It'd take too long to consider what song would be the best. Some of the ones mentioned are great and would be in my top ten. One not mentioned is "Out There" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, one of my faves. Also quite a few numbers from Prince of Egypt are great too.

I really like "My Next Life" from Robert Taylor's The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat.
It's just a really cool theme song.
Simpsons had some memorable ones-
When I was 17, I had some very good beer...
What you gotta do is play it cool...
The name's Poochie D and I rock the tele, I'm half Joe Camel and a third Fonzerelli...
Who holds back the electric car? Who makes Steve Guttenberg a star?
There are too many great ones from that show, I can't decide the best one.

Okay...
From Anime
Ending Theme Song from "Cowboy Bebop" (The Real Folk Blues) - Sticked to the mellow side of the anime show. Besides, at the credits, it had the words, so you can sing along.
1st Ending Theme of "Outlaw Star"- I pretty much liked the song. I was small when I first watched it and it's still stuck in my head.
1st Ending Theme of "Inuyasha" (My Will)- I liked the song. So pretty. :anime:
2ns Ending Theme of "Inuyasha" (Dearest) - I also liked the song. Maybe because my brother had the full version on his PC before I heard it at the ending credits. Doesn't it remind you of Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship?
2nd Ending Theme of "Full Metal Alchemist" (Ready Set Go) - I heard it on the teaser trailer. Unlike the most ending themes, it's more upbeat.
Most songs from "Spirited Away"- The songs were pretty cool. Fits with the movie. Besides, it's cool that they were all instrumental, unlike other songs from anime.
I also remember a slow song from the Japanese version of "Sailor Moon". And then a cute song in one of the DBZ movies (when Gohan is chased around by the enemy in his hideout). The problem is, I don't remember the names.
From Cartoons
"Kyle's Mom is a *****" from "South Park"- Hilarious.
Cartman's rendition of "O Holy Night" - Funny, with everyone forcing him to sing. :D. Also hilarious.
Most songs sung by Chef in "South Park" - showed the perverted side of Chef.
More coming soon...

"Flying Dreams" from Secret of NIMH. It's a beautiful song that fits a beautiful movie, and it's a shame it's so underrated.
"When You Wish Upon a Star" from Pinnochio. It didn't make AFI's top ten out of 100 best movie songs for nothing!

Once upon a december and At the begining from Anastasia
When I listened to "Once Upon A December" I fell in love with it! It is just so pretty sounding, plus the memory sequence during the song is beautiful!

Good choices, but shame on all of you for neglecting the soundtrack from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Danny Elfman is a genius and his work on this film confirms it.

'Colors Of The Wind' from' Pocahontas.'
'Two Worlds One Family' and 'Strangers Like Me' from 'Tarzan.'
The main theme from 'Beauty And The Beast.'
'Circle of Life' from 'Lion King.'
Yes, the Disney animated movies have included a lot of great songs. But a couple of my favorites come from another source:
'Through Heaven's Eyes' and 'The Plagues' from 'Prince Of Egypt.'

Here is a great song:
From the "Out of the past" episode from Batman Beyond;
"A superstitious cowardly looooooooooooooooooooooooot!!!"
A lot of cool other stuff from BB (both series and ROTJ). I also have other soundtracks. One from the Simpsons where the characters sing and a soundtrack featuring Space Ghost and the Gang!

Most of the songs from Quest for Camelot are quite good especially the song "what I see through your eyes" beautifully written.
That one song from Brother Bear when Kenai is confessing to Koda about what he did, forgot the name but it was wonderful.
from the simpsons the song called "Jazzman" from the episode "round springfield" Yeardly Smith sang that song wonderfully.
I also agree with Skeeter that the song "Flying Dreams" did not get enough credit because I love listening to it when I watch The Secret of NIMH.

Great song. On my old computer, I had that and "Dreams to Drea," from American Tail II(?). They wen't perfect together.
"Rumor in St. Petersburg" from Anastasia was a great musical--in the broadway broadway tradition. I liked the extras on the street.
...And I can't for the life of me remember what the its called, but the song they played at the end of one of the later Cowboy Bebop eppisodes--near the end of the eppisode, not the closing song--was great.
i just love sonic-x theme song :)

> from the simpsons the song called "Jazzman" from the episode "round springfield" Yeardly Smith sang that song wonderfully. <
Indeed she did- if her version was available on CD I'd buy it. Though it should be mentioned, "Jazzman" didn't originate on 'The Simpsons'; it was a 1974 Carole King hit.
Speaking of Carole: I've thought of another favorite for my list. 'Winter Was Warm', from 'Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol', is a pogniant lament for faded love. IMO, it's the second-best song preformance Judy Garland ever gave (I'm sure everyone here can guess the first.)

The song "A Dream Worth Keeping" (sung by Sheena Easton) and "Batty Rap" from Ferngully were purely awesome.
And at the very very end of Cowboy Bebop in the last eppisode they play the song "Blue" which is, in my opinion, the greatest and most glorious song ever written.

*smacks head* How could I forget the Warner songs?! Man...
The Tiny Toon Music Videos! Sure, they weren't exclusive to animation, but still! Who doesn't like how they did Particle Man?! (or Istanbul, or Do You Love Me, or Yakkity Yack...)
The Animaics songs. I can only remember a few of them now, but I really liked some of Rita's songs. STill hum one occassionally. The Animaniac originals (U.N. Me, Panama Cannal, Voyage of Magellean, and classic Nations of the World and States/Capitals) were just as good. I used to have a CD of some of them.
