Can you really post that kinda thing on Toonzone???I wouldn't mind it getting taken down. But that guy was just plain wrong!!!!!!He's obviously a child molestor, homosexual and a cross dresser. Cool it will ya? Yes, we are all offended by the sight of the guy, but that's no reason to call the guy a homo and a pedophile. Just because one has extremely questionable tastes in cosplay, doesn't mean that they're anywhere close to fitting your description.

LOL, this Man Faye thing has become legend. Is this one person doing this, or a collection of male Faye cosplayers at multiple conventions? I must say the yellow speedo does no man justice. Even if he's not dressing up as a cartoon character. Thanks for posting the pics. They gave me a good chuckle.

Heh, glad to see Man Faye was taken off the streets, or at least covered up and not let in. It's funny the premise, but I'd rather have this happen then let it become a trend for men to be dressing up as scantily clad women.. That would be the end of the world...

I knew a large breasted girl who was once asked to leave the mall because she was in there braless and people were freaking out i guess.

Braless? That's crazy, I mean come on, how could a braless girl offend someone? Now, what if a fat guy didn't wear a bra and his boobs were bouncing all over the place? Would they ask him to wear a bra? And isn't that discrimination against women with large breasts? I mean, surely a small breasted women wouldn't be forced to wear a bra.

...That's utterly ridiculous. These MUST have been women throwing her out. Maybe she should dress up as Faye and enter a mall. That would kick untold amounts of ass. Anyway back on topic.

Man-Faye deserves to be prossectued. He should also be forced to shave his ass for god's sakes what if there were children around?

I must say, I feel pretty sad for this guy. I mean, he gets attention by completely making a spectacle of himself? By wanting folks to laugh and point at him? Really kinda pathetic choice.

You know, I have to ask, if a woman went into the expo dressed as Faye would she be asked to cover too?Depends how much she'd be showing off. Bad-taste not-withstanding, that man's backside was too exposed for a public function.

I remember being pulled over in NH for driving with a swimsuit top on. (I was returning from the beach.) Apparantly, it was a 'dangerous distration' and women 'needed to cover up'. Riiiight. I didn't really think much about it at the time (when you're 18 or 19, get pulled over and let go without a ticket or warning, you tend not to care too much later on), so I never checked to see if that was an actual NH law/policy.

You know, I have to ask, if a woman went into the expo dressed as Faye would she be asked to cover too?I once attented a con where there was a girl who dressed ad Chocolate from Sorcerer Hunters, the Manga version (for those of you that don't know, she dresses in baggy black pants, topless and suspenders that cover her nipples).

the cosplayer wore black tape "X"s over her nipples, but it wasn't enough the cops came in and made her cover up. She brought in a black bandanna that she wore as a make-shift bra. but not till after I got a picture of her.....:D

that reminds me, I saw a shirt a guy was wearing that said:

"I got ass-smacked by the Man-Faye, and all I have to show for it is this crappy t-shirt."

wrong. just wrong.

reminds me of these two girls at comic-con who wore red and blue thongs. they had a crowd of guys with cameras following behind them...

i'd think that would bother some women. You know why half of those guys are taking pictures of them. o.O

I can vouch personally that the only thing worse than a really obvious crossdresser in costume is one that's not quite so obvious...I've been burned by that particular flame once before (think of Quagmire in that one episode where he tries to hit on a transvestite not knowing she was a he)

I actually saw Fat Man Faye photos on an Anime Web Turnpike (Anipike) forum. Oh Jesus! Butt Cracks! The guy in those photos seemed a lot fatter. The people at the forums even had them moving and had this old song (It goes: I like to move it move it, I like to...MOVE IT!) playing in the background. It burned my eyes!!!! (not literally)

I didn't know police were in Anime Expo!

The guy, to look more like Faye (well, he doesn't anyway), should have worn the shirt the correct way: like a shawl.

They should stop bad cosplaying, like Fat Man Faye.

If anyone's seen the pop-up with the Fat-Man-Faye photos on Anipike a few years ago, can you tell me where it is? After searching a few pages and threads, I got fed up. Some links I found weren't the one I saw. The guy I saw was like a big ball of skin with a butt crack. Oh...god....

The security guy looks like Paul Sr. from American Choppers. ;)

I saw a picture of a Man-Faye with some female Faye cos-players, and just to admit, they're better.

Heh heh, maybe I should cosplay and go (Thinking of Sailor Mercury or Sakura from CardCaptorSakura). Then I'll meet him!

Cosplay should be banned from all anime cons. In fact, anime cons should not be hosted in the first place. Not if the police are going to come in and ruin the fun.

Keep those little fanboy snots in their place.

Dad????

I don't like cosplay or the dressing up like anime characters thing in general, but frankly I find man Faye to be incredibly awesome. Although his actions at the expo were pretty dumb.

Yeeeessssss, Man Faye... Who is this person that always shows up at anime cons, and in most ocassions, scares the hell out of every otaku that attends it?

Rumors say that this person was originally a supervisor at a latex factory, however, one day, he slipped on a puddle of paint and fell into a vault of hot, yellow paint. Miraculously, he survived, but by when the rest of the workers pulled him out, they noticed the paint in his body has run dry, curiously resembling the outfit of the anime character Faye Valentine.

The over exposure to latex smells also damaged his brain, giving him the intelligence of a peanut. For that matter, he decided to travel to Japan and attend every con as a cross-dressing cosplayer, better known as... Man Faye. A person that has a top and a speedo as part of his body, yet not a bra and socks.

And now you know the rest of the story.

Good day.

Everytime I watch that I have a feeling that some fat dude ell pull off the mask.....It's still creepy even if I do find it hot :(

Now THAT is depressing :(

I would have thought the mystery bulge in the gym clothes shots would have clued you in.

In fact, I'd say that I've not seen one woman involved in any amateur kigurumi (that's masked cosplay for those who haven't read Megatokyo recently, then hit google to try and figure out what was said.) It's all guys, atleast of what I've seen and can figure the gender out on (when the costume isn't skin tight, it's tricky to figure out the gender. The professional stuff (promotional mall shows, cafes, convention booths) involves some women, I think (I'd guess it'd be ladies who'd like to work at cosplay cafe, but don't really have the looks to pull off the usual cosplay cafe outfits, but given how well kigurumi can mask gender, it could be all guys in the pro stuff too.)

Man, I know way too much about this stuff...

Back on topic, maybe man faye should go the kigurumi route. The body suit would cover all the hair, and the mask would cover the face. That's a win/win to me.

Dispelling Rumors about Man-Faye
Here's the truth on Man-Faye. Late Friday Morning he walked into the
Cosplay Events Office asking to sign up for the Chibi-Masquerade. When
Kenji Ono, the CEM (Cosplay Events Manager), saw his costume he told
Man-Faye that he could enter ONLY if his red overcoat was covering his
exposed rear. Man-Faye then tried to compromise with Mr. Ono and pulled
his costume out of his rear to expose only two-thirds of the area
instead, asking if that would be OK. Mr. Ono was not pleased at all.
Man-Faye was upset and decided not to attend the Chibi-Masquerade.

Sometime later AX staff pulled him aside after complaints were being
made about his exposed rear. Staffers told him to wear a trench coat to
cover up exposed areas that were offending con-goers (And Princess House
Attendees as well).

Man-Faye agreed, and wore the trench coat. That was his mistake.

Sometime after that, AX staff was alerted once more by Staffers
(Including myself) that he was flashing his rear (and then eventually he
just ditched the trench coat all together). Couple that with the fact he
was selling personal merchandise (Man-Faye T-shirts) on Con grounds
without a permit. AX immediately had a meeting with Man-Faye, which
included Mr. Ono (Because all things Cosplay fell under his
jurisdiction) and some of the Board Members.

During the Meeting, Man-Faye produced a very solid defense. He was very
well versed in what he was talking about. One key factor remained. He
made a verbal agreement to wear the trench coat to AX staff, and when he
broke that rule he forfeit his right to wear the badge. And so after two
hours of deliberation, Anime Expo revoked Man-Faye's membership.

Now, this meant Man-Faye was no longer the responsibility of Anime Expo,
and therefore he was free to congregate in public areas outside of Con
jurisdiction. However, once he stepped into the Anaheim Convention
Center, he was theirs to deal with as they saw fit. (How they did, I
don't know. I heard the APD [Anaheim Police Department] was called.)

On the Monday Morning, somehow AGAIN walked into the ACC, even though
they told him before to not step foot inside.

The last I remember, Man-Faye was still walking around though.

That is the overall truth to what happened with Man-Faye.

Nah, you might pull it off. (Provided you are a girl, and can get the nesscesary parts for your costume.)

Initial D cosplays are fairly simple - provided you DO NOT COSPLAY AS THE CAR! Besides, there are guys who can actually do that, and have the cash...

Well, if my uncle gives me his Savannah RX-7 FC3S, I'm gonna stick a Red Suns sticker on it. ^_^
