Just like the title says, where do you get your manga from?

I personally like this Waldenbooks over at Marley Station Mall. It's got 9 bookshelves of manga, plus 2-3 showcase shelves, and a new release shelf. Plus they have a special stand for Shonen Jump and another stand for Tokyopop manga spotlights. They even have those old Pokémon Graphic Novels from way back when!

Wherever I have a gift certificate or wherever I can find a sale. Usually, if none of the above apply, I got to Closet of Comics in College Park, but I haven't bought any manga on a while. I need to catch up on some stuff at/after Otakon.

When I buy stuff it is at Suncoast. They have by far the biggest selection of anyone around here and when it comes to manga they aren't any more expensive than anyone else, especially when they send out coupons and other deals.

Hmm.. I usually buy my manga at a bookstore: Barnes & Noble or Borders. I sometimes have giftcards there, and the stores are relatively close to where I live.

I've also bought manga at Suncoast, but they had a buy 1 get half off sale at the time, and I couldn't resist. :anime:

Although I don't buy much manga, I tend to just rely on what's at the bookstore and whatnot. I'm not way into the manga side much.

anime kingdom in bellevue. 10% price break when I reserve stuff (IE: put my name down in a notebook saying I want it) in advance. This has lead to me buying manga at the rate of 2-6 per week at times.

Normally only through my subscription to Shonen Jump, although I did buy Vol. #1 of Rurouni Kenshin at my local Walden's.

Thinking about going to Suncoast to get Trigun/Trigun Maximum.

Forbiden Planet

They have this sweet offer, when you by 3 gn (@Ł7) it will only cost Ł15 so that allowed me to finish both Chobits and Jing in one fell swoop!

I would buy them at Suncoast if their selection wasn't so crappy but not only is it a sad selecition but most of the manga there is tweaked or damaged somehow. Manga is a investment to me. I want the highest quality copy I can find. I am THAT picky.

So I have sense then taken my business to Walden Books and I eagerly await their buy 4 manga get 1 free deal. I just picked up three mangas there today actually. Kenshin vol 1, PoT vol 1, and SGT. Frog vol 3.

I burned through PoT 1 right when I got home and I've gotta say it was an enjoyable read. I can't wait till the next one comes out.

Kenshin is taking me a bit more time (it's bigger) but I'm getting through it.

My next batch will most likely be SGT Frog 4 (if it's out by then). Naruto 4, PoT 2, Kenshin 2 and maybe 3, and possibly One Piece 3 and 4. I came to the obvious realization that buying Naruto and One Piece is merely for archival purposes and I don't need to do it now, when it makes much more sense to buy something that isn't in SJ. So I think I'll turn my attention to PoT and Kenshin for now. (oh how I miss my Kenshin on CN)

But collecting all these long series is gonna be troublesome eventually. I'm doomed if I start collecting Detective Conan on top of all this maybe I'll luck out and wont be entranced by the manga as much as the show (fat chance, I guess my only choice is to never read one... also a fat chance for as many of you know... I crave Conan).

Back on the subject manner...

I've also bought manga at Barnes and Noble. Just one so far. It was DBZ vol 1 (the only DBZ book I have and I don't plan to get more until the Cell Games are released).

I try to look for deals but even when I can't find them I usually cave when I really want something... Shoot this is becoming like my old skool game phase last summmer when I bought a game nearly every few weeks. This is gonna get costly.

At least Jump manga's are only about 8 bucks with tax, unlike Tokyo Pop's which are 10 bucks or so per... Good thing no other Tokyo Pop manga has interested me besides Keroro Gunso (though I tried to give Rave Master a shot).

WaldenBooks. Their selection is huge and is not expensive at all.

One thing you gotta love about manga is that their price is on the book, so the stores can't go higher (a la DVDs).

It doesn't help me much that three of my favorite manga for the moment (Gundam Seed Astray, Prince of Tennis, and especially Tsubasa [I am SO loving this manga already!]) only have 1 volume out. ;_;

That reminds me, I gotta try and get xxxHolic.

Barnes and Noble for me. They have a huge selection of manga around the sci-fi section. Definitely the best place around to pick up a manga or two. Or three.

I haven't been following too much manga lately, just Fruits Basket and Kare Kano, but I usually go to Borders. I'm there a lot anyway, and they've got a huge selection.

Borders. They have 3 1/2 bookshelves full. I find what I'm looking for 99% of the time.

I usually get my manga at Suncoast or Barnes & Noble, but I do live close to a bookstore that has some manga. They just don't have the manga I usually want to get.

I've been to Powell's in Oregon, it rocks! That's where I got my Mirage TMNT original book with the first few comics in color for only about 10 bucks. They also have a lot of Usagi Yojimbo and many old mangas for fair prices.

My local Border's has one full row of manga (front and back), so I buy there a lot. If I want the really new releases that I can't wait 4 or 5 days for than I go to a local comic shop, which is conveniently enough right across the street from Border's.

I buy most of my manga at Border's since there is one close to my house. I also go to Waldenbooks and Suncoast when I am at the mall. The Barnes and Nobels in my area doesn't have a big selection and some of the books have yellow pages.

I get mine from Hastings, Borders, or Barnes and Noble. I can usually find what I'm looking for at one of the three.

L'Imaginaire for the most part.

I've yet to see anyone else here who reads the French translations of manga like me.

There's also another place but I can't remember the name of it.
