nice, but I'd prefer to see an X collection first but I'd probably have to wait for the next-gen systems for that to happen considering they'd have to compress 3 SNES games, 3 PSone games and soon to be 2 PS2 games, and I doubt they can compress that much data on a single disc

You must not have played the PC games, have you? Because you don't want to. They're pure garbage... They're nothing like their counter-parts, and they have terrible control. And I agree on the X Collection, but I'd only do X1-4. The rest ruined the story, have terrible bosses, and just aren't that good. Instead, I'd add Megaman Zero 1-3 on the disc, with newer graphics. And for good measure, I would have new cutscenes added for each game [except X4]. I just don't want X5-7 [and soon 8] anywhere near it. If Mission Command X turns out well, then throw that in there too.

When they first released the press report fot MM:AC, they had a second installment already planned out. I beleive these were the games mentioned:

MMX 1-6
MM Soccer
MM Battle and Chase
MM Super Adventure

There's no Mega Man 2 PC, only Mega Man 1 and Mega Man 3 made by a company called Hi Tech Expressions IIRC, who no longer exist. Also, I'm at least giving Mega Man X8 the benefit of the doubt until somebody gets a finalized copy of it. There are rumors out there that suggest the game will have more 2-D action than X7, and its gameplay is more like Mega Man Network Transmission for Gamecube, a 2D design in a 3D world. I do like the storyline being set up for Mega Man X8 from the trailer as well, and I'm hoping Capcom will make it difficult enough but not impossible to beat.

The problem lies in the fact that they introduced these alternate endings, yet they just end up going with a new one and pretend the other ones didn't exist. Hopefully by X8 they'll have a more linear ending. X4 had a great ending, even thought its the worst of the first four. Finding out who made Zero added shock value. I hope X8 is good. I really do. But I have doubts, much like the ones I had for X5-7. And I was right about them. As for difficulty, I hope its on par with MMZ series of games. I like the higher difficulty. Even though I love X1, I can breeze through so fast. Same with most of the others. But MMZ1-2 added some real challenges. And on the MM PC, I was merely quoting the original poster's list.

Super Adventure looks like those Dragonball games on the Playdia. Wonder how good the animation is? Battle and Chase was a fun looking game too, and MM Soccer was also a pretty good game.

Forget the collection. There needs to be a new Megaman Soccer game NOW!!!

I mean Mario has some good sports-orriented games. Another MM soccer game would work nicely.

The X# games are really medicore overall, I mean it's like putting all those 3DO Army Man games into one collection, yeah you have them all, but do you really want to beat them all?

Cap needs to make a MM9.There's no reason to. The original Megaman has been outclassed by his spinoffs that his simple charging blasts and sliding seem archaic in comparison.

(Let's not discuss the PS2 version of SMC, I'm just asking if they made a another Sonic compliation for Gamecube what games should there be?)

Sonic CD (Without a doubt this should be on there)
Sonic 3D Blast (Saturn Version)
Knuckles Chaotix
Sonic the Fighters (Give us what we've wanted since the Saturn port was canned, afterall MMAC added the arcade game)

I can't think of anymore.

For the next collection I would like to see.

Mega Man X 1-4
Mega Man Legends 1 & 2
Mega Man Soccer
Then have Battle and Chase and Super Adventure as unlockable games

Chances are it will end up looking more like the list of titles Nin-Nin has.

There is a reason why Capcom didn't release any of the X games on the first disc.

Reason being, well they wanted people to rmember the acceptable outings MM had before the milking turned up the suck...

I mean X7 the most recent is essentialy crap, not to mention you can aquire most of the X games used already for mere dollars...

Battle Network sofar has been the only offshoot good new MM games

and BN is not tradional Megaman

Yeah it's Megaman, but just because it's megaman doesn't mean it's worth getting...just like how the majority of countless SF sequels were all trash, yeah it had some good games, but not all of them are worth playing...

Maybe so, but I'd like to see them included for the sake of completeness.

Perhaps so for X1 and X4 onwards, but I'm guessing there are tons of fans out there who aren't willing to spend $50+ for X2 and X3 (depending on where you look).

There's no Mega Man 2 PC, only Mega Man 1 and Mega Man 3 made by a company called Hi Tech Expressions IIRC, who no longer exist. Hi-Tech Expressions didn't make very good games at all. They made Barbie (NES, SNES) and a bunch of Sesame Street games, to show you their track record. Their only somewhat-decent game was Tom & Jerry for SNES, but it was pitifully easy- you can beat it in less than half an hour.

When they first released the press report fot MM:AC, they had a second installment already planned out. I beleive these were the games mentioned:

MMX 1-6
MM Soccer
MM Battle and Chase
MM Super Adventure That sounds like a good list to me. I've yet to play any of the non-Mega Man X games like Soccer and Battle/Chase, so that would be a treat. Also, they should include a section where the Japanese Mega Man artists mock the American cover art for Mega Man 1-3. :p

I spent $80 on X3 a few years ago [about 4], just to complete the collection. I would not be willing to spend even half of that on the newer X games, as they just aren't worth the money.

Which Mega Man game is the 3D RPG where you face the Robot Masters "Shining Force" style?

True, but I would still like to see the return of the one who started it all. Of course I`m a sucker for old school VGC.(video game characters)

I find that collection completely acceptable and well worth buying. Saves me the trouble of tracking down X2 and X3 and any of the other X game (which I don't have).
