Amazon seems to have two Casper cartoon videos, the classic ones. There was a tape called A VERY MERRY CASPER CHRISTMAS, had not only Casper on the cover, but Baby Huey and Herman & Katnip! I'm guessing that this tape has "Mice Meeting You" and "Jumping with Toy". There's another tape called TO BOO OR NOT TO BOO with all Casper cartoons, and the H&K 'toon "Frighty Cat". Did anyone buy these videos, and know how the titles are chopped up?

You know...this is completely off topic from your post Thad...
but in all my time, I've NEVER ONCE seen a Casper or Herman And Katnip cartoon....
I've only seen 1 Little Lulu and never a Little Audrey or a Baby Huey either.
Sad huh? :(
Chalk it up to never being in any syndication slot I've ever seen...

Well a lot of members that have never seen a "Herman & Katnip" cartoon, I can tell you this little tid-bit.
Herman & Katnip make Tom And Jerry look like very well behaved choir boys when it come to an H&K cartoon.

I think Herman and Katnip were the inspiration for the Simpson's Itchy & Scratchy. Rampant sadism!
Question - for those who've seen them - was Katnip also used as a foil for Buzzy the Crow? Seems I remember Buzzy's cat looking just like Katnip, same voice, but blue instead of brown?
One more thing - didja know Herman was voiced by none other than TOP CAT himself - Arnold Stang?

Same voice and same color -- judging by the stories told about Seymour Kneitel's cost-cutting measures, he must have decided to just use the same feline design for the Buzzy-Katnip cartoons as were being used for the new Herman-Katnip series (I believe Kneitel did all of the Buzzy cartoons and also did the 1947 prototype for the H-K series "Naughty But Mice" only with a black cat instead of with Katnip).
Also, as far as voice trivia goes, Jackson Beck, Buzzy's voice (and Bluto's as well, post-1944), was still doing TV commercial voiceovers as recently as four years ago, while Sid Raymond, Katnip and Baby Huey's voice, used to portray the husband in the old Chock Full of Nuts coffee commercials with a voice that was basically a smarter sounding version of Katnip! Those old ads were notorious because his wife was played by the wife of the owner of the company (Paige was her first name), who would sign the Chock Full Of Nuts jingle in each ad. Paige was pretty good-looking when the commericals began, but by the end she was, er, well, let's just say more coffee and less cream, sugar and doughnuts would have helped out a lot (though the full-figured Paige fit together Sid's Katnip-like husband's voice better).

I plan on buying these tapes soon, since I'd like to update my copy of "Frighty Cat" (which I KNOW it is on the TO BOO OR NOT TO BOO). I'm also hoping "Mice Meeting You" is on the Christmas tape (it could be a snow themed one... )
One can't help but wonder, since the Casper tapes were so seldomly released, that there could be more tapes with OTHER starring characters (Herman & Katnip, Baby Huey, Little Audrey). A Tommy Tortoise and Moe Hare one would be cool...:)
