I was wondering who you think is best with Bugs Bunny. It can be for any reason. I am only mentioning the three main characters.

I went with Elmer Fudd this time. I love Sam, that's for sure, but Elmer was used by many of the directors to great effect. I especially like Freleng's different takes (usually putting him in unusual non-hunter roles since the early 40s).

I think they're all good, but Daffy seems to be my favorite foe for Bugs.

ELMER FUDD! There's nothing like him to get me chuckling. Besides, he's the one hunting for Bugs! The other two don't tend to try to take on the offensive against Bugs as much as he does...

...besides, "Heh heh heh! I'm hunting wabbits!" is a very powerful arugument for him. :D

No seriously - I like Daffy/Bugs with the Sam/Bugs mix following a close second. ^___^ Elmer can get tired after a while but thats more so because he's just SO EASY to use in reference to Bugs. The other two have always seemed to offer up just a bit more of a challenge. :)

I don't like the Chuck Jones greedy Daffy that much. I like Sam about as much as Elmer, but I find Elmer "stupid funny", kind of like Homer Simpson.:)

I'm having a hard time picking between Fudd and Yosemite Sam. Both were great foils for Bugs. I'll probably go with Fudd.

Don't really care much for the cartoons with Bugs and Daffy as a pair. The ones from the early 50's are good (Hunter's Trilogy), but the formula fizzled badly afterwards around the mid-late 50's, where Daffy grew into an egotistical bastard and Bugs just didn't care anymore. All we ever see nowadays in the new WB cartoons or Cartoon network bumpers is this tired old Bugs vs. Daffy routine. Can't they do anything new anymore with the formula?
