Dose anyone know of the new Dot Hack Sign

Last friday i was up at 1-2:00a.m. and Cartoon Network was showing a new Dot Hack serious. So I was hoping if someone could tell me more about it.

Here's a bit of information on the new .Hack//Sign Series, ,Hack//Sign: Legend Of Twilight. (aka .Hack//DUSK).

Two twins, Shu-go and Rena, win characters that model the legendary .hackers Kite and BlackRose. Shu-go is one day beaten by a high level monster. When he was revived he is given Kite's bracelet from a mysterious girl named Aura, which starts the many mysteries of .hack//DUSK

.hack/DUSK is set four years after the events that happened in the PS2 games and even though CC Corp has successfully been able to cover up the events that happened, some older gamers can still remember what happened in "The World".

No relation with .hack//SiGN. In fact it isn't cannon.

Just thought I'd reiterate the not cannon fact regarding the .hack//DUSK (aka "Legend of the Twilight") anime.

Why is it not cannon? Because it significantly changes the events of the manga (which is cannon). For any normal series, deviating slightly from the manga isn't as big a deal, but because DUSK is meant to wrap up the events of .hack, the changes present a more significant problem.

The worst of it is that the anime attempted to wrap things up (DUSK has only 12 episodes) long before the manga was anywhere near finished. Numerous characters and plotlines, of course, wind up entirely omitted. End result... the anime's writers apparently just made up their own ending.

The series isn't horrible by any measure, as the talkbacks should indicate, but the ending... well... everyone will see, in time.

I've seen it and it really dampened my opinion on the show.

Happily, the manga's been much better to date.

I saw your website. It's really cool. I like the intro a lot. I have seen almost all the .hacks. Seen: .hack/sign, .hack/liminality, and .hack/DUSK. My favorite is .hack/liminality.

Hey, DuelMaster, is there any reason you keep plugging the official dothack website? It's not even all that great of a site, it's really sparse on info and multimedia. It's all style and no substance.

I love the .hack stuff, but I've seen better sites out there.
